I've been around the world a few times also Booya.. Planes suck and so do Cruise ships.. Long plane flights you get cramped up especially if you are tall like me and don't have an exit row seat.. You get there quicker though.. Cruises it takes too long and after looking at a flat ocean day after day the thrill is gone after a day or two..

Was nice at night though on the ocean liner decks under the stars though.. That I remember.. One of the bright spots when warm in the tropics...

That’s where I’m at right now in my life. Just went to Europe this past summer for the first time and had a blast. Trying to see the world more, especially before I have kids which will for sure lock me down. Gotta enjoy freedom while I have it.

I'd say go on a long road trip with your chick up the coastal areas rather then a cruise.. You meet new people everyday, experience new restaurants, scenic views are different and awesome, etc.. That's a better time.. Map it out and make sure you have a nice SUV.. Motor home even better..

Costs about the same after hotel costs and what not. Well maybe a little bit more. I had a much better time doing that with my GF's by far...

Yup I did that here in LA, California, drove the coast all the way up to Seattle Washington with GF's.. You got wine country at stops, you got so much to see, can even stop and see a Portland Trailblazer game along the way like I did..

Cali to Seattle highway 1 runs right on the Ocean and that was always a good trip for me with the tight GF's. Then you circle back in land to go home and drive back down thru the hick areas and States..

Not respecting laws made by ppl I don’t respect is not weak, weak is being scared into doing what you are told. I don’t need other ppl to tell me how to behave, I have a moral compass that works just fine and I behave that way because I think it right not because someone scared me into doing so. Any crime that doesn’t hurt or negatively effect others is not really a crime, only in eyes of cowards.

Guilty as charged... Pissed in alleys, bushes, apartment garages you name it.. Went 160 mph + as the speedo needle was pegged in my Lexus going to Vegas ironically enough.. Opened it up.. Luckily I didn't have one of those heli radar coppers above me clocking my speed..

I actually worked in a cruise ship for the summer a few years back. It's one of those ....If it's your type of thing its great. If it's not you want no part of it.

A cruise would not be in my vacation choice.

I took my parents on 4 Caribbean cruises. That is my limited cruise experience.
My parents were getting on in age and I wanted to spend time with them.
It was a good choice because there were easy choices for activities and dining.
It's a self-contained resort.

My preference is to spend the time at my destination of choice.

I've read alot of #1 NYT best sellers over the years.. Gotta do it, gotta make time to read the good stuff.. I read before I go to bed not prison.. Keeps you sharp and you can get good reads also in the process.. I've posted a bunch of National best sellers on this forum before in posts. Probably fell on deaf ears but I try...

Thinking about doing my first cruise in a long time. Likely 7 day cruise to Alaska. Went as a kid like 20 years ago.

What are the best cruise lines? Heard Royal Caribbean is nice. What perks do you enjoy on the cruise?

Would just be me and my girl, no kids.

I worked on Princess for a few years, they’re really nice and not expensive. I’ve heard good things about Royal Carribean as well. Holland America is nice but maybe a bit more pricey.

The Grand Princess is cool, has a bunch of nice pools and hot tubs, has the Skywalkers nightclub, good shows and comedians, etc... Royal Carribean had a driving range on one of their ships, an indoor mall and a wave pool (I think)

Having never gone before you cant go wrong with either cruise line. Alaska is nice but I always preferred the Carribean.

Spend a little more and fly to somewhere to take a decent cruise....I have been on 23 cruises and the Alaskan was the worst...just trying to help

Jibbs thinks its better to sit in a car and drive up the coast to meet new people, see new sights and eat new restaurants You can have all three of those things on a cruise. Opt for the balcony, nothing like sitting on your balcony after a night at the casino, drinking whiskey and all you see and hear is the ocean.

Dont listen to the naysayers, try it out. Just be sure to get a balcony
