My honest take on this:

Ford is a troubled woman who like 98% of other girls who lived it up in her younger years has something in her past that she obsesses over and dramatizes. Kavanaugh's nomination is a chance for her to focus that inner turmoil onto the small possibility it might have been him while at the same time resisting on behalf of women and pro choice.

Kavanaugh like countless other high school kids liked to drink and party with his friends. Saying that he's never blacked out is a lie and I find it troubling that he would say that. If he admits to it though then by the sleazy tactics of the Democrats he will be judged as a sexual predator because they will say he did these things but was so drunk he doesn't remember. I'm not particularly impressed with Kavanaugh in these hearings but he's a Judge not used to this kind of public scrutiny in front of cameras.
