I do have the capacity, if the shooter was looking to shoot someone then he is in the wrong, if he was pushed to the ground and in fear of his life and acted in shock and self defense then he was not in the wrong.

It's a tough situation to understand and we all just don't know the facts.. What I saw is an older smaller man get blind sided and pushed hard to the ground, he was not the physical aggressor.. He took action and shot the man that assaulted him..

Has nothing to do with race or color and has everything to do with the actions taken place.. Call me a racist if you want it doesn't bother me anymore. I'm use to it even though I'm the least racist person on this forum.

If someone puts their hands on you (punch, push, whatever), you are allowed to use lethal self defense. That is what the law should be and evidently it's what Florida allows.

And how can you judge what an immediate threat is? If someone pushes you to the ground, they mean you harm. You don't know what they are going to do next? You don't know if they have a gun and are going to take it out, while you are on the ground, and pop you.

This type of law is great for deterring fights. Because this is the "you start a fight, i'll end it real quick" type of law.

I disagree. A push doesn't justify lethal force. When the gun came out, the aggressor disengaged. This is murder.

the fla law is flawed when it gives the right to shoot even retreating culprits; I expect to see that law, and similar laws of other states adopting "stand ur ground" statutes, to be revised to omit the "yes, you can shoot em even if they are in retreat" provisions.....
