Anyone read about the plane that hit the vortex?

How does this not happen more often? Any pilots or air controllers in here? Seems that this would be common place in flight paths.

I'm a commercial licensed instrument rated, CFI, CFII ATP Pilot, and it happens everyday..Its a mild event, even in a small aircraft flying behind a jumbo jet..Its no big deal

It's like when your car is out of alignment and veers slowly to one side of the road, except it only last a few moments

How does this not happen more often?

It's not like the wing tips create a mini tornado ..Its a wisp of air that quicky dissipates and is a non issue unless your following closely behind an aircraft
