2 years ago, we had an 8 year old pug that got Lyme disease(we didn't know that she even had it) and we had to have her put to sleep. She went from perfectly fine to dead in 24 hours. It was horrible. Then we got Roxxi. She'll be 2 this summer.

She had a slight fever and we called the vet the next day to get her checked out and when I came home at noon to get her ready, she didn't come to the door to greet me and when I went into the living room, she was on the floor convulsing. I always knew that there would be one day when she wouldn't come to the door when I came home, but I didn't think it would be that day. We rushed her to the vet, but it was too late. I asked them to check her for Lyme(she had a couple ticks over the years) and sure enough, they said that she had it. It really sucked because she wasn't an "outside dog" and they said that all of her organs were healthy and she shouldn't have been like this, but the Lyme must have overcame her.
