I had to go for post surgery pain after my spleen was taken out, and I was so pissed thst people were being seen ahead of me that said "I have a sore throat and a 100 degree temp". I was livid

Sup, fellas? So earlier tonight, like five hours ago, tripped over something while running and broke my fall with the heels of both hands. Small cuts on each. One hand seems to hurt a little more than the other, and tender near the cut. Looks like some swelling but not too much. No bruising or anything. Can move everything. Hurts a little lifting something but not insane. Little tender in the palm when making fist but nothing crazy.

Do I just take Advil and wait that out or do you have to go to ER for x-ray?

This is the type of injury we place in the hallway while we work on trauma patients. Your wait will be 3-7 hours before you are seen. The plus is that after your xray you will probably get some oral opioids which will help you enjoy watching and wagering on some hoops!
