I've met a ton of athletes and celebrities in NY city and the metro area. Some from local teams and some staying in town because they were playing the NY/NJ teams. They all go out to explore the area and the night life. The best of times was drinking, partying and rubbing elbows with many Giant players diring the late 80's and early 90's during the Parcells regime. Had drinks with LT,Pepper,Marshall,Carson,Martin, etc.lik e half the team. Even hung out in Go Go bars with some. LT also had a restaurant near the stadium was FUKING wild. Loaded with women and easy to get laid. These guys blew so much money buying drinks was obscene and the amount of alcohol they consumed was amazing. Many great times and memories.
All you people make fun of NJ and NY but there are a ton of celebrities and athletes living in the area that you run into and nowhere better for restaurants and night life. And we won't even bring up the underground.

Jeremy Roenick = Super cool and chill guy. Definitely my favorite NHL player of all time.
Ed Belfour = total jerk ... must have been hungover
Daniel Alfredsson = true gentleman and soft spoken.
Many other professional hockey players as well but not mention worthy

Met Eddie O at the Breeders Cup. Ultra nice guy. Met Lorne Greene back in the day as a kid great guy too. Most of the celebs I have met were from a long time ago. Bob Welch was super cool and Bernie Nichols of the kings were great. From talking to people hockey players seemed to be the best.MLB Players seem to be the worse along with actors. My friend was a huge Darrel Waltrip fan.He met in Phoenix one year and said he was a total Jerk and never liked him again so never meet someone your a fan of.

John Daly at strip club in the early 90's. Dude was tossing $50's and my crew were stuck over there with $5's. By the end of the night, we had worked into his small group and he was just an awesome dude. Pretty much bankrolled the joint from 3-6 and then invited us to play the next afternoon.

Met David Price several times and he's just one of the nicest guys ever.

Was it consensual or did they hold you down and perform pelvic push-ups?

Roenick is a good dude. Period.

Ed Belfour is out of his mind - didn't he go berserk with crack n' hookers at a Four Seasons in Dallas? A hostage situation or something? That was fairly public.

He couldn't... he was too busy kicking my fragile, helpless, decrepit great granny in the shin.

Otherwise, he may have. That's the kind of person he is.

                                          Mine too.

Closest I've come to running into a professional athlete was when I was working for Purolator and delivered a parcel to the Seabrook family business. I got to meet Brent's father and little brother. They noticed the old school Blackhawks jacket I was wearing and greeted me and struck up a conversation. Super nice and humble people, and everything I've heard about Brent indicates the same.

Met Juan Pierre in a park. I was with my boys when they were 5 and 6 years old. The boys were huge fans of him at the time because he was on the Marlins. He gladly took a photo with them.

I'm not a very star struck person to be honest.

I met AJ Burnett several times in the late 1990's. I would get him and his buddies on the golf course I worked at. He gave me his cell phone # for tickets to Marlins game. Super cool laid back guy. Met Craig Counsel in the same scenario. Nice guy with huge calves.

Met Matt Kuchar (kind of stiff) and Sam Snead about 15 years ago. Snead looked like he was easily annoyed so I just smiled and said hello.

Right on man,you never forget those sorts of experiences. Brents older brother just joined the Hawks recently.
