My wife is in Philly with her friend and my brother's wife to see Tom Petty tomorrow night. She just called me and told me that they went to the restaurant that McCoy left the 20 cent tip at and got waited on by the male server that waited on him.

She said the guy was getting death threats from people in the city and he had to remove his Facebook page and some other shit.

She also said that he told her that Charlie Sheen sent him $1,000. I thought that was pretty cool and worth sharing.

I'm tired of this reciepts that tell me what to tip or having the tip automatically added to a bill when you are with a large party. If the service is bad then a person does not have to tip but it's become the norm where wait staffs just expect it which I feel is ridiculous.

You don't tip 20 cents. That goes for everyone, not just celebrities. Leaving a 20 cent tip to "send a message" is an immature punk move. McCoy needs to grow the fukk up. He even said "the food was good."

Hey, I don't know. My wife said it was pretty good and they had no issues. But coming from a restaurant background, I know things can go to shit during busy times and people can get shitty food/service.

If servers got paid minimum wage(or more), it wouldn't be required(or expected). I don't know what they get paid now, but when I quit at the chain I worked for, it was either $2.61 or $2.81 an hour.

then you should know that by federal law if wages plus tips doesn't equal the minimum, the employer must make up the difference.

it's a douchebag move to publish someone's receipt. An Indianapolis waitress learned that quick when she got fired for posting a Peyton Manning tip which was very generous. A person's wealth has zero to do with the tip. The place had a bad yelp rating and many loacals were not surprised. I have a buddy from Philly and he laughed. Tips say way more about the service than the person served. If you don't see Sheen as an attention whore, not sure what to say. Guy is desperate for attention and a horrible human being. Maybe giving $1,000 makes him feel better about abusing his ex-wife or kids, or causing a porn star to fear for her life.

I am well aware of that. When we did weekly payroll, every server that turned in their tips knew exactly the amount to turn in.

The big mistake this guy made was making it so his name got out there. Never do that.

And the service wasn't bad, I can pretty much guarantee that. When celebs come in, the staff and the restaurant bend over backwards for them. The last thing they do is shrug them off and treat them poorly.
