I grew up in north mississippi but when I was a young buck my dad drove us up to memphis to Krispy Kreme donuts. Best thing I have ever eaten. Could bang out a dozen..... I'm stoned and want some donuts and milk.

We make camping donuts that are pretty much the most decadent thing ever especially when you've been living in a tent for a few days. Basically you cook bacon over a campfire in a cast iron pan. Mix up some instant pancake mix. Drop a glob at a time into the bacon grease and deep fry the dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. It's fukkin unbelievable.

We use to have a Krispy Kreme bout 30 minutes from my place. My buddies and I would go and get like 2 dozen each. Personally I went for the original glazed, so God damn good. Sadly we would almost always eat a dozen each. Depending on how much we blazed of course. Glad it's not around anymore though because my metabolism could handle it at 17, not so much anymore.

I like the original too, I'm not close to a Krispy Kreme so I settle for shipleys. I get the donut holes early when they're fresh but they can't fukk with Krispy Kreme.

Best come from independent shops. If anyone is ever near Toms River, NJ try Obco's Doughnuts. Nothing beats them. The place has been open for over 60 years. We drive across the bridge just to get them.

It sounds gross at first, but when I was a kid, you could buy these donuts by a company called "Rich's" (I think), that you put in the microwave. Probably just the awesomeness of a really hot donut, but you wanted to inhale ten of them.

There was also a donut cart called "Lil Cuties" or something like that. You'd see them at farmers markets, and out of all the healthy fruits and vegetables surrounding you, this place would have the biggest line. So good. Mini cinnamon donuts.
