What Is Your Career, and Why Do You Sports Bet?

I think most of us agree that part of us bets because we think we can actually make money. But I know for me personally it's about watching a game and having a stake in it and it gives me something to do nightly - not necessarily trying to make a living out of it or anything obviously.

I'm currently a law school student and the dryness and studying is so mind-numbing, but sports betting gives me something to look forward to every night. It's something nice and a hobby I can have while in law school, and keeps me sane (or insane, who knows with this stupid hobby).

wow i cant imagine betting sports while in college...

i day dream about my bets all day long. I cant hardly think of anything else during the MLB season.

residual income is when you for example are in sales and have an account with a client that you have sold something to and you keep getting paid off of that one sale that you originally made.

However this can change if your client decides to take his business elsewhere... which is why you see sales reps taking their clients to play golf, expensive dinners, floor seats to NBA games etc...

i think it's a very legitimate question. considering most people spend 40+ hours a week on your job it's a pretty big part of your life. not only that but a student like me that has put 17+ years of school it's pretty important and im proud that i've dedicated that much of my life to education.

if you don't want to answer, don't answer. but my point in the thread was seeing the correlation between people's jobs and their gambling habits haha

I make internet money from ads. Online sports gambling is another way.
I also bet action with small bets.
If I wanted to make a living from sports gambling I would push all in on one bet, one time per year. Finding an opening that gives the most edge.

35 years in printing, now self employed. Bought a horse racing system, went to the track with visions of $100's
sticking out of my pockets laughing all the way to the bank......not! Did win 1k on a $10 exacta using that system though. Paved my driveway with that. John Morrison came along and promised the same as above. Worked for a while. Using my own system now. I keep saying I will quit when my account runs dry. I haven't deposited in 3 years and it keeps growing. (except for the fukking Broncos)

I'm a web developer. I bet because I'm a numbers geek, not a sports fan. I never watch the games and could care less who wins ONLY who covers. I get a total rush out of being in action. Making my daily bets is a lot easier and a lot less time consuming then going to the casino down the street and playing a table game.
