Send it back and swap it for an hdmi cable and a cheap wireless keyboard/mouse. Plug laptop into tv and sit back with KB.

Try http://youtube.com/tv too once plugged in. Much better interface and you can control it with your phone or tablet like a wireless remote too.

Same price as stupid google branded thing, but works foir everything. Including SBR poker on your tv.

no matter what , no matter how good the quality the stream is on the PC it never translates as well on to the TV.

chrome cast or HDMI cable or how good your WIFI connection is or how good TV. is. just the way it is.

unless you have a stream that is not being viewed by 43290429 people then its always going to trasnlate different

and portability = it's very portable - I can pop it out of tv and into my pocket - when i travel to hotel or anywhere, friend's house, etc... plug it in, start netflix app, Chrome with HBO GO, watch ESPN in browser for games not broadcast in my area, etc, etc, etc, just on on my Iphone and VIOLA!

and can be controlled by any device not just a laptop
(I have windows laptop, Android tablet, Iphone - they all work)

BUT if you like 50ft HDMI cables, you can spend about the same money, and plug in and unplug your ass off to your laptop only and get the same thing...pretend it's 2008 and GO FOR IT!

Probably the latter but my main laptop is a Samsung ultrabook. No idea what to do for the rest of the network.

Tried it at home and at work but neither stream from chrome worth a shit. YouTube works fine
