Yeah man, but shit does happen. I recall an LSU game a few years back that almost made me quit this all together. Not even that big of an L moneywise, but some finishes to games just rip your heart out.

So here's a Q. Why are so many people proud of getting TB tonight at a bad number? This isn't specific to in here, but over in PT, twitter, etc. Everyone bragging on getting TB at the worst of the number.

I'm leaving the stats and the x's and o's alone just this one time and betting the Cowboys for this reason and this reason alone.

Might be a burial over in PT if Dallas covers the 8 (or more in a lot of places). I have TB in a teaser or two from earlier in the week, 6 pt at under -1.5 for TB. Even then I thought the spread was too high. Then again take all this with a grain of salt, I'm NOT an NFL guy.

I just find it odd that so many people are pumped up at getting Tampa at -8 or higher (and some at 9!!!!).

Everyone has it wrong, everyone thinks TB is some kind of huge public play.

At this point, they are not. But I do see some liability for the books with the TB moneyline.

When it comes to the spread, the books have been moving the line to manage the risk. Now, if they had kept this line at -6 or -6.5, and took all that TB action without moving, there would be a different story here.

But as they have moved through 7 and 8, Dallas has gotten the action.

This is what it looks like from my desk, with my compilation of sources and book contacts.

Things can change, but let's face it Dallas +7.5-9 will be getting action.

Perhaps the line even falls back, Pinny hanging the 8 at juice is telling as well while BOL bounces off 9.5, notice I said bounces.

I wouldn't be surprised if TB covered this one.

Leaning Chicago too. Now this one has a contrarian slant to it for sure. I don't like the games BOL is playing with the line, but that's not saying much.

I have not bought Chicago, it is the Sunday night game, but they are the look for me right now, even if it does go against some early season forecasts.

Those early season forecasts sure can be pesky but the public so far seems all over the Rams and this going to be a very high volume game.

So far I have NYJ +4 and CINCI +3.

I do like Chicago from that contrarian standpoint.

Still reeling from neuritis, the timetable was about 4 months, but I get it bad and expected a little longer.

Big time set up men don't shit the bed like that last night, especially against the O's.
