in the heated massaging foot spa like a woman
Now it's time to drink warm rum

Daggles.
You're up wicked early.
I was going to make some eggy's but I can whip up a batch of flappers.
And flappers are easier too.
Blueberry or choco-chippers?

Yeah, blueberry slapjacks are way up on my list too.
Here in Ct. there is a chain of fice fancy slapjack restaurant's called "Chip's"
Best hotcakes in the world.
I never tried to make apple pancakes myself, but they have apple pancakes to die for.
Check this menu out. (I go to the one here in Fairfield up the road from me)
That thread about the Chauvin case, but called the ”George Floyd Trial” thread is pretty embarrassing. I’m not sure I went into yesterday, prolly won’t today.
So much of it is just low info posters spinning their wheels, not even talking about the actual trial.
Embarrassing to say the least.
I think SBR is in serious need of critical thinkers or at least posters who can pay attention.
It’s a disgrace and I’m a bit embarrassed I even gave an effort to straighten the thread out.
The prosecution gave a damning case, but told us nothing we didn’t already know, and the defense just waved their hands saying “These are not the droids you’re looking for” and so much of the SBR and the gullible public just ate it up.
As a rising tide, it’s hard for me to raise all the ships when they’re waited down like they are, taking on water.

When I joined here over 10 years ago there were 50 percent less idiots and 50 percent of the posters that posted a play gave a little thought to their selection with a little write up.
Now you have a bunch of JohnnyVegas's and that brick head Thomorino.
Recently you had Big Bear.
Still not quitting SBR though, as the idiots amuse me.
You want dopey?
I have the ABC Eyewitness news on this morning, the big one out of NYC.
The talking head that does the weather has a graphic up "100 % chance or rain Thursday" and says, (and I quote)
"I'm pretty sure of rain Thursday"
I'm like WTF, you hang a 100 percent chance on the graphics (which tells me it's automatic) and he's saying "pretty sure"
Ummm, what part of 100 percent are you not sure of.
I have lost all respect for Robin Roberts this morning with her race baiting.
I thought she was level headed up until now.

Just heard, I think it was Hanna Storm say that games in Minnesota were cancelled yesterday then she said the Twins said it was out of respect.
But she said like that's not what they meant, almost trying to push the false narrative that games were cancelled in Minny yesterday due to protests, not safety and mourning.
Thing is Nash, so many guys around here eat that shit up.
Agreed, it's not about quitting SBR, but it might be less about me trying to do the right thing and educate them anymore.
It's like this debate on whether to help the 99.9% here, who need it, when it comes sports, regardless of whether or not they want the help they need has bled over into just simple daily facts.
Not so sure giving that help and information is worth the effort.
Shit, most posters can't even understand some basic philosophy from history. And those are just the basics.

Thomorino struts around saying "that's not how math works yet can't define the word 'value'
He speaks of variance all the time yet calls variance an 'event'
When I tried a year ago to explain that variance is not an event but a measure I was called a dumb shit.
When I tried to tell him there is no value in his prop bet that he laid -130 on has a +150 chance of winning I'm told that's not how value works and I'm a dumb shit, well, all you can do is laugh.

And how exactly is protesting the vote law by moving the game out of Atlanta helping the folks in Georgia?

Been there, done that.
Circa 2018.
Some posters need to shut up and listen, too many of them win a bet or two and think they know it all.
Little do they realize picking winners is the easy part of sportsbetting.

Yeah, MLB missed on opportunity there.
My intial thoughts on it was this...

Why not do something more supportive for the very community you claim to be backing?
Why not set up a campaign to get everyone an ID, help those who need mail in balloting services, and a non partisan group to bring a cooler of water on voting day? What about public eduacation about voting rights and supporting community led grass movement to get into politics and lawmaking?
Why not fight against the new law, combat it with resources to overcome whatever it is that is now "holding back voters"?
Why not support the citizens that they say are getting screwed?
Instead they deliberately harm the people of Atlanta by what is essentially sanctioning the economy? Even if the All Star game is a money pit for the city and state, like the Olympics are for cities and countries, the local businesses still get the boom.
So what the fuk mlb?
Regardless of your political leans, it seems like once again it's more lip service than real service.
Only this time they are causing harm.
I also posted that the monopoly exemption awarded by congress should be reviewed.
Next day a congressman said the same.
Remember, it's not just ESPN reading SBR, it's Congress too.

As far as I've always understood it, congress allows the MLB to have a monopoly. There is no competition. For that, they often have to answer to congress; as they did with the PED scandals.
With that relationship, I'm surprised they can "get political" if that is indeed what they've done here.
I'm not even really sure that's what they've done.

Love the epic Late Show performances.
The best ones have either a small number of people on stage, or a shitload.
It was good but I bet the sound would have been better live or under the house system at a place like shoreline.
Nasher you ever been to the Ed Sullivan theater? Is it all about the TV tapings or is there a sound system too?

I love it when they get a huge ensemble up on the stage there, always have.
I like when they bring it like that to the TV stage.

Yep.
Saw Letterman's eighth CBS show there.
The lead guest was Michael Myers of Wayne's World fame.
Musical guest was Belinda Carlisle promoting her (then) new solo album.
The ancillary guest was a hilarious Phillie's John Kruk.
Then went out for 100 dollar steaks after taping at 6pm, went home with my date, watched the airing at 11:30 pm, and got thrown one of the top ten humps in the history of humps around 1 am.
Memorable date.

And you'd be hard pressed to find a front man with more passion than Brandon Flowers.
That song was written by Brandon about his mother dying from terminal cancer.
