We've seen breakouts over 3 different sports, I've pointed them out before moving averages, and they nearly always come before the triggers. So with last nights spread cover we not only get a win away from the trigger, but we got a win after the breakout.

The breakout was a good sign...

I want to post this one again, it still relevant and you can see how it's playing out. I pointed out how hugging that lower bollinger band like in the third series below, can result, and it's showing in the chart above...

This history clearly shows that a breakout either way is good for our aggressive trading.

What's a breakout anyway? The range seems so visual and prices and lines can change the numbers a little bit. If we can define a breakout, we can use our spreadsheet to show what happpens even before our SMA signals.

And the story continues.

Remember, this is the NBA and the professional leagues can stretch this out when we don't have high volatility. At this point a losing streak, which we can't rule out, would create just that volatility...we should expect some volatility, which makes me cringe if we get one more win and a buy signal. I hate losing those first trades, even though we almost always recover...ALMOST...back tests will show this.

So aggressively trading here that means CHI +2.5 is a 15 unit play if NY +6.5 covers (a trade that will not occur), but the games start 30 minutes apart.

Imagine that; let's see what happens in the first half hour of the Knick's game and further into it.

We really don't want the Knick's to cover here, it put's Chi in a really bad spot.

Knicks scored first and played with the lead but as they announce the players in Chicago, OKC ties it up at 19 then takes it to 25-19, a 6 point lead...the closing line...and close the quarter with a 7 point lead 27-20.

When the Knicks game finished, Chicago closed the gap significantly but still didnt cover. Nothing too remakable here and I didn't intend to get into how it's brought, but the nature of plays made it so.

Whether or not Chicago had covered the spread, the game represented a buy trigger. Not a bad situation, having two consecutive losses in a break out market lead to a buy signal...
