There were no Contrarian RL plays today. The best candidates were St. Louis, which fell just out of the target circle but won the game and the Mets, who trail 0-1 in the 7th. The Mets were -191 and just too expensive to pick up. It will be no surprise if they cover today.

The Contrarain RL Fund is currently down -8.46 units, coming off a low after hitting both plays on May 28th.

That eagles guy might as well just call me Al...

Glad I passed on that Mets RL today. It stuck out all day as a play and even had the price to show it.

Dodgers go up 1-0 in the bottom of the first. Game stays 1-0 until the bottom of the 8th, with two outs.

Then the Dodgers make it 2-0.

Tough beat for the +1.5 (-191) crowd.

No plays yet today in either Contrarian Fund but here are some candidates we are working with...

The Philly Runline is dropping below -140, or to -140, and that is looking attractive.

Volume isn't great but there's a chance we end up on the White Sox moneyline.

Toronto looking like a decent contrarian play out there and that +240 is value right now, I believe, but the forecast is dismal for them and perhaps impossible to overcome to make a bet. Could be 10-0.

Det and KC both are also solid plays with them being not only a contrarian side but with the raw forecasts having each them as the winner. Still watching these two issues though, I am trying to identify specific trades and if I see certain trades go against these plays, it might pull us off. There's a set of rules, an algorithm, to follow in that case.

Seattle appears to be a decent when you look at percentages, but the forecasts and the line movement clearly tells a different story.

Keep an eye on Oakland, they are also solid and the line movement isn't so much a worry there, the books had to blink on that opener. Which begs the question, why open there?

Mia has nice checklist for the contrarian side going, including the sort of line freeze, the money tending slightly off from the tickets...according to my sources, and there were some early Miami trades that looked promising and add to the percentages, with a small weight.

Pit is also a strong contrarian play with a decent forecast probability, could be a play here despite what I identify as long term winning sharp moves on Mil. Regardless, and in spite of the money and percentages, we just might see that line tick towards Pit...the contrarian force is strong with this one.

Every game today is a later game so we have quite a bit of volume to gather and information to absorb but it looks like many of these trends will hold today.

This didn't include a Totals analysis but the HOU/OAK OVER 8.5 is a solid looking play. The public, from my sources, samples and conversations, appear to be on the UNDER while what I would consider the sharper, bigger money is on the OVER. That sharper money will win over the long haul.

The line freeze on that Total isn't much to consider when we look at that balance of opposite sides between the bets and money from my samples.

That Total in Oakland could very well tick to up to 9 and we very well could see a 9 point game there.

That GoatMilk buy is terrible and he's convinced it could go 1-1, as if predicting a Warriors win is some kind of outlandish task...lol.

Once Seaweed and maybe even Johnny start screaming Warriors again, I think we know what's up.

This time, however, Toronto will only win by 2 and not cover the spread. If it's a Toronto blowout, this series could go deep.
