The sharp forecast say Golden State beats Cleveland 119-113. The public gauge has Golden State winning 121-111.

The early Total opened low but it has quickly made to the agreed numbers above. This represents one of the largest Totals we’ve seen ever in an NBA game, not counting the All Star game.

The early line opened close to the forecast, moved through the public gauge on public pressure and then came back down to between the numbers. Once again we’re seeing a situation where Cleveland backers likely want that moneyline while Golden State backers are taking the spread.

At this point, there is little value in the line on either side and as much as I’d like to see Cleveland win (we might get more free Doritos Locos Tacos), I am concerned about the spread pushing upward and moving the moneyline into a value situation for Cleveland.

This happened in game 3 and served as a warning against the Cleveland moneyline; they got trounced.

Yet in this world of give and take, the result might just end up better for Cleveland.

As far as the Total is concerned, as the public still seeks the Over, one almost has to take an Under here.
