Agreed, the television schedule actually rules over all. Same for Golf. It bothers me sometimes too.

A great idea would be to abolish mound visits from the players/catcher
if you are not on the same page as a duo then tough luck
This rule would take off a lot of time over the course now the season

great idea and I totally agree but SSSHHHH!..don't tell that to baseball purists!...

...I get so sick and tired of hearing about the integrity of the game when Pete Rose is still lifetime banned for gambling (whoopty -doo) but yet all of those years MLB turned a blind eye to the steroid era while juiced up players were making a fukkin' mockery of the game!...don't get me started on that!...

no shit,it's a shame how Pete Rose is treated
he hustled and love the game a lot from what I know of
plus he admits to his wrong doing yet they won't induct him
steroids, or forms of them took over baseball and ppl still hate Rose
for gambling

With Pete Rose, I have to acknowledge, with what I know from the markets, that is was wrong for him to bet an ANY baseball, whether it seems he's involved or not.

But to keep him from the Hall, that's a tough one. I think it's good to stretch it out, and discourage the behavior, but he deserves the Hall without a doubt.
