I've had 4 of my long term customers die in the past two months. Most of good age, yet youngest 58. I didn't used to care about death, I guess since I'm only 38. But as I get older and know my parents are getting close, my aunts/uncles and 88 year old grandma; I come to realize the value of life and appreciation we are put on this planet to make a difference, perhaps for a reason. The meaning of life is troubling. I think if we make a difference in another's life is a start. Thoughts?

You just might be there in the end for a chance. If you win, you deserve more than +155 for sure.
I'm watching this one on Liveball .tv. A few pop ups but then it's not bad if you need to see some of the action.

i believe that we were before, and will continue to be, after this stint on earth. while the life here can be painful, brutal, saddening, and even disheartening in many ways, i also can see the the good, beauty, happiness, love, and charity here. i believe u are spot on jmon. its doing the small random good deeds unto others that will help pacify our souls and give peace in our hearts and minds. it's crazy but serving others is actually mending ourself in many ways. death is not something the youth ponder much, but every one of us will face death. when we watch those we love die, it changes our view on life and how precious every moment actually is. when i meet someone who has encountered horrendous personal tragedy, i can't help but notice the change in how they look at time differently. tell the ones you love what they mean and make every moment count. while personally i believe in an afterlife. i also believe time on earth is short and that we might wish we could go back and change or redo things. enjoy life and recognize the value of the moments we take for granted.
my my father was diagnosed with ALS last year and his time left is short, for weeks i couldn't sleep as i could not accept his terminal assessment. all the hate, anger, resentment, and sorrow was consuming me. i cannot change the fate of anyone, however i can choose to help someone in need or try and pay it forward as best i can. so i tell myself. i am going to do good deeds because it's what my father would have done himself and what he will want after he departs. spending time around him. i focus on the little details. i want to remember the little things he does and pray that i don't forget what it is like to be around such a great man.
even a selfish, greedy, self medicating person, as myself, believes i can offer some good to others and that's what makes me feel of some value in the grand scheme of things

Man Jmon that's a whopper. My dad made a comment when he started noticing the people in the obituaries were starting to become as old or younger than him. Get's one thinking.
One of my friends from high school just had a service last week for his dad. I suppose we're getting to that age. Years ago we started seeing many friends get married, one at at time. One summer I was in like 5 wedding parties.
Now it's that age where so many we've known are getting older. Hate to say it Jmon, but as we get older, death closer to home may only seem to get more frequent for all of us.
I've come to really enjoy the lives we've brought into the world, and, like inno, see a bit of trade off to "pacify our souls," a way to channel emotions.
I've gotten more and more spiritual over the last few years and that has really helped frame the big picture, not only about the circle of life and death, but about purpose. We can probably all agree that making a difference for others is a positive, but digging into why that is true can really bring some perspective.

You just need to be there in the end...I see 74-74 tie with plenty of game left. Could be interesting.

Jmon, Inno, thanks for being real. And Inno you and your father will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Now with all this talk about death and Valentine's just around the corner, send a sweetheart something special.
Fawk, Melo walked to the locker room and the announcers keep screaming "Birdzilla." This is going south real fast for the Knicks.

Nice job Cashflow on the pool finish. It's probably a good thing you decided to split. You never know what could happen. What if you each got down to the eightball and it was your turn. Then this happened:
