I spent 110K for the complete set.
Green diamond (Irish lass) in platinum setting....

I thought it was way too much, but what the
hell...I paid for it out of one of the
    Golden Greek's off shore accounts.

Last year I paid $6K. Seems like a reasonable price. Fiance works at the jewelry store I bought it at. Because these places bring in the diamonds from Holland I didn't have to pay tax. I got the diamond for half price because the owners are basically family. With the savings on the diamond, ring and tax the whole thing should have been about $13.5K.

I don't get it how can people spend more then 1 grand on a ring. Never saw the potential in expensive jewelry.

    I'm sure I couldn't make a difference when I look at a 100 dollar ring and a 1 grand ring.

3 months salary??? Are you fuckers absolutely out of your minds??? Oh wait you got married so the answer is an obvious yes

This is just another reason no one should get married, that's love to an American woman in a nutshell right there boys, every cent you got and borrow more to show you "love" her . No wonder why the number one cause of divorce is financial stress, hell if you make 50k/yr and give the bitch a 12k ring she thinks shes marrying fuckin Bill Gates, then when ya lose your job to some Chinese guy who will do it for 1k/yr she hits the road
