It was an awful pre call, awful flop call. The stack sizes aren't big enough to even remotely justify it. I'm basically just pushing out all his draws which he is mostly likely on. Calling that 400 with no pair, no flush draw, and a simple gutter on the flop, I just can't put him on that hand.

I'm pushing out so many hands I beat. I can see a set but I have AT so that is highly unlikely. He most likely would of reraised me pre or on the flop with JJ. 77 was the only real possibility.

Oh sorry just noticed that. Regardless, I'm smashing most of his range and it's pretty impossible to put him on 98, KQ the only other possbility but it's still a call with a gutter on a flop with no pair or flush draw.

Either way if I assume everyone hits their gutter in this turbo, low stack short handed tourney style, I'm never going to cash ever.

Stalling on the bubble is in very poor taste, even when there are no rules against it; it's the kind of crap that makes tourneys go hand for hand at the bubble which is a pain in the ass. Just because it's not against the rules doesn't mean it's right. We've seen bobbo tank/shove all but $0.01, then tank/check and tank/call on a flop. He does it against everyone, regardless of whether or not he has some beef with them, and it couldn't be more obvious that he's doing it in a desparate attempt to min-cash.

Doesn't seem to be working out well for him lately...used to be you couldn't go to a contest thread without him ranting about how being in the top 25 was a amazing accomplishment (when he was in it), but now he's gone silent on that for some reason

Congrats on having slightly more cashes than me in this promo, despite me playing less than half the tourneys and you playing them all. I do still seem to be way ahead on actual points won and making a team though, but maybe I'm missing something; is there some kind of consolation team that gets put together by the people who try as hard as they can, can't win enough to make a team, but min-cash a bunch of times? Or is it just for people who bring up a bet they won once upon a time (while ignoring the much larger bet they lost shortly thereafter)? Either way, congrats on taking more than twice as much time to win less than half the points I have in this promo!

In all seriousness though, we're all rooting for you to somehow make the team; your World Cup performance history is just awful, and it would make the East a lot easier to beat

Yeah, I saw that when you linked it earlier, gave me a chuckle. I had just started paying attention to the forums and poker, and I mistakenly assumed your point totals were a result of good play. I actually lost a couple thousand points in that one, mainly from paying out people who bet on you not to cash (you didn't) and people who bet on me to cash (I did). Soon enough I got a better feel for who was good and who wasn't, and later contest odds were a bit more accurate. It is funny that the biggest loss I took in a contest was when I had you listed as one of the better players, and the SBR sharps cleaned up betting on you to fail

Thankfully, it didn't take long for me to firgure out you're just a mediocre micro-stakes nit who can only min-cash when 50%+ of the field is paid out. It wasn't great at the time, but losing the bet to you has become more amusing in the years since; watching you repeat it every possible chance (often in situations where it's completely irrelevant), in a desparate attempt to ignore reality, is almost worth losing. Given that, if I was as brain-damaged as you, I'd probably be insisting I lost on purpose
