It's a 4 months commitment to be the one to go on a heater to get into an overall not important event (it's not the main), you gotta rearrange your life for a week to do the traveling stuff, and then you're still a large favorite to make exactly 0 dollars...
I just think Sam has it in his head that the whole thing is way more exciting than it is. This is not gonna generate a ton of excitement. Most of us could buy into a 1.5k tourney if we really wanted to... but it's nothing super special and playing 4 months of tourneys just to be the one luckbox to do that...

Why is it that SBR doesn’t want to put a serious poker promotion out there and back it up with a real reward for the time we put into it?
I like the idea of a $1,500 million maker entry promotion, hell, who wouldn’t love the chance to play for a million dollars. But why does it have to be only one top prize?
SBR could easily send 5 guys to Vegas for this at $7,500 and kick in $500 each toward the hotel and we’re talking a total of 10 grand here. Imagine sending a team of 5 SBR Pros all decked out in SBR gear, you can’t buy better SBR site advertising at the WSOP like that! Plus the fact that we’ve now got a team of 5 with a shot at a million dollars!
The hell with awarding points at the final table for the this. Give the final 5 a $1,500 entry, the other 5 get a piece of the action if any player finishes in the money.
Also, the 6 thru 10 finishers would automatically become alternates should one or more of the top 5 not make the commitment to go. The winners would still have to cover their own airfare and miscellaneous expenses, so you never know, someone may bail or have something come up last minute.
So come on SBR make this happen. Stop being so fuk’in cheap with the poker promotions and make it worth it for the dedication serious SBR poker pros would put into it.
As I stated earlier, 10k to send 5 SBR pros is a drop in the bucket compared to the $50 thousand awarded during pick 6 football promotion. How many new pros did we gain during that verses the coverage we’d get at the WSOP?
Let’s put SBR poker back on map and generate renewed energy into making poker here once again exciting to play!

I am assuming the daily poker points are still up for grabs. So this promotion is good, better than nothing for sure. But I think would rather see 4 colossus seats worth $400 each. Either way, WSOP entry is better than some random promotion like triathlon.Comment -

heads up poker tourney - i think weve had 1 ever and it was a success in my opinion
weekly tourneys such as the pokerstars sunday millionaire maker or whatever it was/is called----qualifying mon-fri then a big tournament saturday or sunday.. if someone goes on a vacation for 10 days during a qualifying promo, they are OUT..each week starts over, so everyone can play... take all the final payouts, divide them by 16 weeks or whatever, and that is the prize weeklyComment
