already tentatively planning on one of the first weekends of the football season if anyone is interested? That might be the last time I go during the summer lol...I'm so happy to be back in San Diego and not have to deal with those brutal summers out there anymore!!

Between 10th and 27th October the Vegas Golden Knights play 7 home games in Vegas.

That would be week 5 or 6 for NFL.

I could be convinced to do it again then if it meant seeing an NHL game too.

I made sure to interrupt and save her in both english and spanish. Guy...it's fukking HAPPY HOUR WHITE WINE. Nuff said!

one thing I like to look for early season in college football are returning starters and especially the QB..young QBS going on the road in a hostile environment for the first time are usually a good fade

teams changing schemes(on either side of the ball) can also take some time to start clicking

i did manage 3-way (no, not that kind) chop in a 150 buyin trny at l'auberge last tuesday night..... pulled down about a grand after tips, etc., for 2.5 hrs work.....

Just an early heads up about a 2018 Poker Forum Mixer. Will post a thread in a couple of months.


Wed 27th June is the WSOP Teams Event, $1000 total for up to 4 team members. (no rules about who plays when or for how long)

Fri 30th 3pm is WSOP Online event. $1000 again but figured we could easily treat that as a team event if we wanted as well. Maybe make it into a party somewhere.

Fri 30th evening is The Giant event, which is $365 and the cheapest bracelet event during WSOP.


I know not everyone wants to play poker tournies but figured the week covering those dates would mean even those that don't want to grind out an entire tourney can be part of it too without a big time commitment at the tables.

Anyway, I'd be thinking of arriving 25th or 26th June and staying about a week again. Be great if we get the same crowd again. Was one of the best weeks of 2017 for me

If I go out to play in an event.....it would be Event 48 (the monster stack). That would be more of my style of play. I’d play Day 2 which I believe is Jun 24th. It will all depend on how I do in in Vegas in Feb and how I feel about my game.

If I’m not in the mood for a big tournament, I may still come out just to play cash if everyone is going to be there at another time. So in other words, I have a high interest in making it out there. Just need to wait a little and see things develop.


Oh wait....last year I missed 4 days of SBR poker doing this. As Waves would say, I need to get my priorities straight. I better stay home so I can do better on the poker leaderboard.

Funny thing is, I missed plenty of days last year: Bash (4 days), Cruise for wive’s b-day (4 days), Vegas poker trip (4 days), my birthday weekend (2 days) and at least 10-15 because of work commitments.....

and yet, I still finished in front of you.

Bump....just got back from Vegas and thanks to some of Philly’s NCAA basketball plays and his NFL pick, I came back with more money than I left with. Even was able to keep the wife’s losses at about $200 on the table games.

So in other words, I’m game on trying to get out there again later this year. Either in the Summer or Sep/Oct

I really really want to be there for some WSOP excitement but kind of thinking it might be smarter to try to do it in August so I can go to the IFBC thing in CR and then maybe onto Vegas for week one of football season?
