SBR Poker Forum Mixer in Vegas for WSOP June 18-24 CHECK IN

Reigle, I'm probably not going to impose on anybody for staking deal. Too messy to get involved in $$-deals.

I would be willing to do some action-swapping, if anyone is out there and plays the same tournament as me on Sunday. IE, if me + AnotherGuy play the Deepstack on Sunday, deal could like this:

* If both lose, no exchange.
* If one guy cashes + otherGuy whiffs, Casher could refund OtherGuy's entrance fee.

Just an idea, to minimize the swings.

Still thinking about playing the events I listed for 6/12 + 6/14:

* I've played a lot of Limit cash-games. Not really tournaments, tho. Seems a bit lame, b/c Limit isn't thought of as a Tournament format.

* I really want to play that 6max tourney. If it was $1500, I'd do it for sure. $3000 is a bit rich. Have never played a tournament w/ entry fee > $300.

I do not like to complain but it has been a rough go the past week. I have had chronic tightness in my hips, back and neck for years and have kind of learned to live with it. Recently, it went from tightness to pain. I had to stop exercising last week and haven't since because I don't want to make things worse. I'm hoping this goes away before the trip or it could be miserable. At best, I'm uncomfortable. I'm starting to get worried and am a bit demoralized that I'm always feeling shitty.

I've tried numerous things over the years and spent countless dollars(massage, chiropractor, accupuncture, accupressure, reiki, muscle activation, pilates). I only get temporary relief for a few days and then things go back to normal.

Anyways, sorry to go on but the way I'm feeling, I find it hard to imagine sitting for hours at a poker table. Heading to the chiropractor now.

Marking down 1st tournament I'm going to play in:

* Sunday 6/18. (Rio) Daily Deepstacks
2 p.m. - $235 No-Limit Hold’em
...I've played in this tourney once in past. Just contemplate this term "Deepstack". They are talking VERY deep-stacks. I believe the stack starts at 200+ Big Blinds, maybe more.

Was a little bit weird, for me. I'm much more used to playing modest stacks, in the 20 to 30 BB range.

Realize that there really shouldn't be many All-ins early on. Try to accumulate and wait for the Blinds to accelerate.

Jake....sorry to hear this. I hope the pain subsides to a level that will allow you to have a pleasurable trip.

Sucks getting old....been having some feet/knee issues myself. Has killed my workout routine. Now I walk around in pain feeling like a fat ass.

Jaker I obviously don't know your exact situation but I've battled hip and lower back pain similar to what you describe for the past 5 years and Japanese collagen supplements have changed my life the last few months. Make sure you find one from Japan because they supposedly have the most advanced refining methods and will give you the best bang for your buck. My lower joints used to painfully crack and pop all the time but now they're more lubed up than a college freshman on her first trip to Donkland

Unfortunately I have gotten my balls beat in this week and am heading home today with my tail between my legs. 1.5k HORSE starts in an hour but I'm blowing it off to beat traffic, first time I'll miss that event in almost 10 years, that's how fukin bad I'm running right now. If things pick up this week I may drive back out while you boys are here but for now I'm looking like a DNP to make the festivities with you guys

thanks for the inspirational words guys! I'm pretty sure all 95% of my aches and pains stem from a bad car accident that I was in about 15 years ago. I feel like my hips are not where they are supposed to be and it's causing a chain reaction in the rest of my body. The chiropractor says my hips are locked one way, my torso is twisted the other way and my spine is cork screwed causing some nerves and muscles to be pinched and constricted, thus the tightness and pain. What pisses me off is I eat pretty healthy, try to stay semi active and get many different treatments and none seem to be getting to the root of the problem. Anyhow, I was so fired up about this trip but now I'm having second thoughts. Is it a good idea to drive 5 hours both ways and sit at a poker table for countless hours with the pain and discomfort that I'm in? It might be a game time decision for me now. I'll probably end up forcing it either way but it is discouraging.

Sharpy, please provide a link for the supplements that you got...it's worth a shot! Sorry to hear things did not go as planned for you in Vegas..

thanks amigo..going to a rolfing structural integration session(based on some info firekillex inboxed to me) tomorrow than back to chiropractor Friday and next week as well..I think I will be good enough by the time the vacation rolls around...

Finally broke down and booked trip today. Gonna shoot out Tuesday the 20th and come home that Friday. Will be coming off a beach bender with friend who is moving out of couple and have wedding Saturday so Im sure I will feel like absolute shit at some point. Body not meant for that many days drinking and gambling anymore.

Plan on maybe one poker tourney if I get really bored otherwise sports betting, slots and donkey games. Got a good feeling on wheel of fortune this time.

Chucky, the $235 deepstack is a very aggressive tournament. Some guys go all in on the first hand with jack-10 offsuit. It is unlimited reentry for the first 2 hours and with the small buy in, guys play crazy. You get some guys that play in the event that just got knocked out of a $1500-3000 event and they play it wild. You start with 15,000 chips I think and those guys want to have 50,000 by the end of 2 hours.

You have to get up to $1000 and above level to where players more normal poker at the Rio. That is not the same at other casinos but teh action is extremely aggressive and wild at the Rio for any event lower than $1000. Even those $1000 events will be wild for some of the younger guys with $30,000 buring a hole in their pocket

The expected normal tight play occurs at the Venetian and Wynn poker series. And if you want to play with senior citizens like USCPHILLYGAY then head on over to Binions.

I will be out there playing in a few bracelet events before the Main Event. I love 6 max tournaments, i wish that i would be there on that day and i would play in that one

I was looking at the place at first, but it sounded like it's kind of hard to get around and I'm trying to do as little walking as possible.
