Little nervous after looking over Morton's stats vs. STL. Yikes. Not too many of their guys don't have good #s against him. Thinking they might need to bust out with a big offensive game today against the rookie. Hopefully seeing him once helps because Wacha dominated his 1st start against Pittsburgh.

Really don't want this going to Game 5 in STL.

I think they got jobbed on that call in the 8th, but it's not gonna be the reason they lose. They haven't gotten a big hit all night. Kudos to STL. Fun ride, but a shitty ending. Cole was pretty damn solid still in this spot. One mistake.

Made no sense that Selig did not install the new replay challenge system for the playoffs. Obviously Hurdle would have challenged that one.

Offseason will be interesting. Huntington at least gave lip service to wanting to bring Mourneau & Byrd back. Price will obviously be key. I'd be much more interested in Morneau being the younger guy of the two and playing a position that has been fairly shaky for years upon years. If he can give you 15-20 HR and 80 RBI, that's good steady production from that position. Not much on the FA market that looks better IMO.

Byrd as much of a good guy as he is just seems like he had one last hurrah this year with an unexpected surge. He was solid for the Bucs, but he's 36 and you've got a guys like Lambo & Polanco who will probably be given chances in the next year or two. Lambo in particular could add some power.

Barmes & Burnett are really the only other free agents with question marks. AJ may retire, but I have doubts that he would want to leave with that last POS start he had - but who knows. Barmes I just don't know if they can bring him back. He's 35 and all defense. Great defense, but I think you saw it in the playoffs - this team still needs more punch. I think Mercer is probably going to be given his shot. His bat is mucb better and I think he'll be an adequate glove, but he needs to keep working on defense.

Interested to see what they do. Truthfully, I think they stick to their usual style. The under-the-radar move on Liriano turned out to be brilliant. Their boldest move was locking up Russell Martin first off last year and that paid off big.

Don't know about that. They could not hit Wainwright. Lucky to scratch out that one run. Series was good for them though. Gave them experience and also showed them what their glaring weakness still is - offense.

It's Polanco.....and he'll be up in June. RF is going to be in issue until then. I think Ishikawa and Gaby can at the very least be respectable at 1B.

It's pretty much a carbon copy of last year. Pitching will carry them as far as they go. If Wandy stays healthy, they still have a solid 1-2 with Frankie. Big year for Cole. First full season as a starter in the bigs. If he's all we think he is, the pitching could be dominant to where the lineup just needs to do the SF Giants thing and scrape enough thru to win. Bullpen is probable underrated due to the names, but a top 5 group IMO.
