Yea i think O-line probably too, but they have to rebuild that entire thing. Danny watkins was a strange pick, i know he's been hurt but he has been terrible. There not a superbowl team though thats for sure. If desean walks after this year though there in even more trouble

Watkins wasn't hurt, he just wasn't ready. Way too early to write him off yet. Not paying D-Jax is just plain stupid, but maybe his asking price is ridiculous too. We don't know.

What ha Patrick Crayton done in San Diego with Phillip rivers ? Jason Witten is always covered yet Romo still getsthe ball to him. He has one ofthe highest yards per pass attempt in NFL history. The rest of the Dallas offense is overrated. I love how people think they are some offensive juggernaut being held bak by Romo. Amazing. Felix jones is overrated!

I just don't get it ZSR. Eagles were better off with Mcnabb as qb back in the day then they are with Vick now. Vick is not a good qb never has been. Yes he can hit on the long ball once in awhile but look at him this season. Trying to be a pocket passer and its a joke. The guy is a 5'9 running back great athlete but a average at best qb.

Yea i really think paying him was the mistake, if you franchise him for this year and you see he struggles then you cut him loose or get him for cheap. But i agree, no one is getting by GB. Rodgers is one quarterback thats not overrated thats for sure

This thread is about overrated players. And Mike Vick is at the top of that list as a qb. The numbers speak for themselves. Now if he was a running back he would be above average ha but he is a qb supposedly.

Yes, very solid dline, even pattwrosn isn't terrible... The linebackers are just so bad, teams can run all day, and the dline gets a bad rep bc.of it... Babin and cole aren't great run stoppers, but make up for it in the passing game

dlunc3, finally something we can agree on. Those linebackers are just atrocious, they improved the d-line and the secondary and compeltely ignored there biggest weakness on defense. Trade one of those corners for a damn linebacker next year. For as much pure talent as this team has, they have bigger weaknesses and thats why they wont win football games.

Totally agree. This used to be a tough defense man! I cant explain the non-tackling and bonehead mistakes there is so much talent! Its not just the lb's like you said cause i havent seen a pro bowl LB in forever. We need a leader and hiring an offensive line coach to coach your Def is UNNACEPTABLE

Agreed. PHI just need a D coach who knows how to get the most out of his players and give them a scheme that will limit the big play. The D-line gives up a lot of running lanes, but that's just the natural design of the wide-9 technique. I'm not going to pretend I know it inside and out, but I do know that the LBers are overshooting their gaps and have no clue where, why, and how to be where they need to be. That's part coaching, part inexperience, part lack of talent.

I still blame Castillo though. Starting Mathews and then moving him to weakside was idiotic. He's also completely mishandled Asomugha and DRC.

I have no problem with how Washburn is handling the D-line. It's up to Castillo to coach up the LBers and get that stuff ironed out. When has PHI ever been able to generate this much pressure without blitzing? Based on the talent on the field, there's no way a team should be able to come from two scores down and win (with the exception of guys like Brees, Rodgers, Brady).

They loaded up on skills positions at the expense of other places on the field. Their Linebacker corps is one of the weakest in the league. More than this, look at how poorly the defense tackles. At times during that Niners game I thought the secondary looked like high schoolers with how they over-pursued and whiffed on the WR's.

PHI is one of the best run organizations in all of football. They made a mistake with Castillo, but they have never really had the "window of opportunity" close on them in Reid's entire tenure.

Haters come out in spades when the chips are down....but PHI has had their backs against the wall before. Check their November/December record before you write them off.

You must be watching a different eagles team than me, cause the one im watching gives up ass. Do you even watch their games? Their an under-sized unit that gets completely out-physicaled and pushed around out there, very soft. They get absolutely gashed in the running game. Their LB's cant tackle worth sh*t and are totally useless in coverage. The best unit on that d right now is their secondary and theyre not even playing all that great right now

You obviously didn't watch the game , how is vick fumbling on the 5 yard line on first down and the defense taking the ball back down to the 20 and the offense scoring to go up 4 instead of being down 10 not an effect on the game ?
