I'm a Bears fan... the Bears looked awful in preseason last year (0-4) and then won the NFC North.
They looked ugly last week, but honestly, there is no value in this game because it is.... PRESEASON!

The Bears are not good. They have no line. Last year they lucked out so many times. They won't post 8 wins all year

Yep... they lucked out a ton... like that game against the Redskins, when Cutler QB sneaked over the goal line as replay confirmed, yet they didn't call it a TD and then he fumbled and they lose by 3. That was really lucky to lose a game by 3 when the officials fukked them out of 7.
And then there was that Seahawks game where they called a Hester TD back on a phantom holding call, and they lost that game by 3. Yes, that was extremely lucky!
Honestly... you homers that think the Bears are terrible every year are just listening to the experts. Who is better? The Bears or the Jets? Last year, everyone slobbed on the Jets all year, and then the Bears beat them heads up, still slobbed on the Jets after that.
And in 2006, when the Bears made it to the Superbowl, they were projected like 31st from SI and like 27th from ESPN...
The Bears are pretty much always underrated. If you bet them on the ML every game this year, you will make a profit. Pretty much guaranteed.

The Chicago Bears finished 31st in offense and allowed the most sacks last preseason, according to the Chicago Tribune. The Bears are 1-4 ATS in their last five exhibition games.

The bears suck in preseason... sure...
Honestly, for all the Bears haters here... please put all of your money on the Falcons -2 in that opening game. I'd love it for you homers to push the line to Bears +3 or even +4.

Valid point. Giants almost broke Cutler in two last year. Bears off Line = bad.

I tend to concur with this, so I guess I'll take the over. That was easy, thanks Brock!

This is exactly correct. They gave up 9 sacks in their first preseason game. That line is awful.

The books would like nothing more than throw out 3 point lines for each meaningless preseason game. When they don't do this, and hang a line between 3 and 6, they have capped the game for you.

Cutler is a wounded seal in the water-the sharks are going to go after him all year long. Hopefully they rip both his legs off this time so he can't embarass CHI faithful and athletic fans everywhere by riding on the sideline bicycle with that stupified expression. Cheers

Jets were clearly better. So the Bears beat them in a close game at home. And?
Which team played in a tougher division? Which team beat New England twice? Which team had a better point differential?
By your logic, the Bengals were better than the Chargers last season, because they beat them straight up. Also, the Browns were better than the Patriots. And finally, the Redskins must have been better than the Bears.

True. Sorry, I messed that post up.
Regardless, I think everyone but huge Bears homers would agree that the Jets were the better team last season, and are a better team right now.
Maybe that Bears homer should be setting his sights lower, like on the Seahawks or Redskins.

This game is a nightmare to cap and anyone who thinks they know what will happen is talking out of their azz.
NY have a huge advantage with their D-Line vs CHI O-line, but Rosenfals is out. Carr vs Hanie?
Enjoy the train wreck cuz this game won't be pretty.
