Why Are Bears Getting 4.5 Points??

well banking on the Jets 1st half yesterday and the Chargers first half as well... it was too easy. taking the Giants first half tonight, these favorites seem to be getting the job done in most games early on.

Exactly. This game is going to be ugly. I like teasing the bears and the points with the under. EITHER team in the game +10.5 and under 41.5 sounds really nice for this.

Regardless, I think everyone but huge Bears homers would agree that the Jets were the better team last season, and are a better team right now.

Maybe that Bears homer should be setting his sights lower, like on the Seahawks or Redskins.

havent pulled the trigger yet but the falcons are lookin like a top 3 pick for me week 1. i will definitely be paying attention to the bears the next games- i havent watched 1 minute of them yet this year in preseason but things arent lookin good. never know.

That might make more sense during the season, but here the second half players will be quite different from the first half players, most likely.

I don't know who is going to cover this game, but the Bear OL is a mess. The secondary is questionable, no depth at linebacker, questionable WR and the Roy Williams they were counting has come into camp out of shape. Last year they beat 4 or 5 3rd string QBs and were very lucky with injuries.

i laugh at everyone that says there is no value on a game because it is preseason.
i told my brother in law to take packers/over on a parlay (they won 28-20) but he wouldn't do it because it is preseason.

if the bears were +55 points i guess there would still be no value and wouldn't be worth betting because it is preseason

Na, they overachieved last year and now have a tough schedule to show for it. Packers are actually better this year (scary for rest of league) and I think Lions finish a distant second. Vikings will be competing for #1 draft choice.

There was already more than enough profit to be made this week. Anyone looking to bet tonight's game is either chasing or greedy. Week 3 lines are already popping up and that's where the attention should be. There's some nice value on the board next week.

Yep, and the Eagles were better than the Bears too... yet, the Bears were up 3 scores in the 3rd quarter on the same Eagles....

Bears are a team that could go 19-0, winning by an average of 30, and still wouldn't make anyone's top 5. Just how it is in Chicago.

Yep. I was told the same thing before last year about the Bears finishing 4-12 and finishing in last... or 11-5 and finishing in 1st. Same thing. Clown. They are improved from last year and went 11-5 last year. All that needs to be known.

There is more value in betting preseason games than regular season games. I think this is a long standing myth that people hear and then they pass it on year after year...
