Texas will rebound from the last few weeks, the Defense still has talent on it.

Yeah, that's what happens when teams look ahead. I'm pretty certain they weren't even preparing for UCLA since OU who is their biggest rival was the following weekend.

Stay away from Texas... the are going to get mauled in the trenches in this game let alone at the skilled positions... Nebraska is legit in every phase... even passing because anyone with talent can beat 1 on 1 coverage when the safety has to cheat to stop the spread option read... this one might get ugly..

I heard this before the Washington game and the K-State game! And if 5-0 Nebraska rolls the 3-2 Longhorns, we'll hear "Well Texas wasn't that good! Wait until they arrive in Stillwater!"

I don't bet on Nebraska because my heart always gets in the way of my brain! But how many more times are we gonna hear "first true test" takes? I'm beginning to feel like a Boise State fan!

          Go Big Red! Horns down![/quote]

I guess by first true test i was refering to the defensive line here, Texas recruits 4-5 star caliber players every year, there dline is in a totally different group then the others we have played. Let alone they all hate NU and have a defensive minded coach like Nebraskas. I hope NU comes out and rolls, but I am just saying I would leave this game alone and find a better one.

I make the line Nebraska -24.5.

I do appreciate Texas bettors keeping the line so low for us.

              Don't be crazy.

Fair line should be around Nebraska -14.

And for those writing off UCLA loss as total look-ahead spot (which it was but I think only partly affected their performance), with all the extra preparation time they took for Oklahoma, shouldn't they have then had a better performance vs. a Sooners defense that allowed over 400 yards per game vs. everybody else they played?

Look, focus on who wins the game.

This isn't any more difficult than it appears to be. Team at home, with a lot of momentum, versus a team vulnerable to the run, and reeling from two losses in a row.

Don't over think this. If UCLA can win by more than 10, so can Nebraska.

Take the Huskers, and don't think about it.

The line is what it should be. If the line were 14, the bets would favor Texas, and drive the line down anyway.

It's a fair number. Vegas is asking the public if they think Nebraska can win by two scores, and that's that.

The answer, by the way, is a resounding "yes".

this is some of the worse reasoning to make a play i have ever seen. you are better off flippping a coin on games if this is how you make your plays

                          Same here.

I was very confident on Monday night when I bet it. My confidence has wavered because I've been staring at Texas' defensive numbers all week.

I would like to ask you what team Texas has played that ever tries to run that ball? Rice, Wyoming, Texas Tech and Oklahoma... all 4 teams in the bottom 25 in rushing this season and I can assure it was not because of the Texas game... add all 4 teams up and they have a total of 2169 yards between them in 23 games... Nebraska has 1688 yards in 5 games....

I have several friends who bleed burnt orange and they all say that this is the worst LB corps in 15 years for Texas... If there is one thing that you need when stopping the zone read... it is disciplined LBs...

This one could get very very ugly as a nice Big 12 parting shot for the Big Red...

This line looks a bit funny to me. I just don't see what decent team Nebraska other than Kansas State has beat.
The only reason in my opinion that this game might be a blow out is because of the was Taylor Martinez can run. I think i will stay out of this one.

                                    BOL to all.

Exactly! Texas is in trouble boys. This is the weakest Texas team in at least 10 years. I live here and I coach here and follow them religiously. Nebraska will beat them down.

I'm blown away by how god awful Nebraska's run defense is. I knew that Texas had a phenomenal rushing defense which was going to be a problem for Nebraska, but Nebraska is making Garett Gilbert look like Colt McCoy.

Gilbert ran a lot in HS, I just think the coaches were reluctant bc of Colt's injury last year.
