#72There needs to be a middle ground between Player's Talk and Private Zone. It should be an Off-Topic/General discussion thread. Player's Talk should be, at the very least, related to sports. Threads like these don't belong there, but aren't inappropriate enough to be banished to the Private Zone:
I mean, threads like these are for users who do not come here to make money. They are not players, they are clowns. Seems ridiculous they are among threads with actual insight on sports.
Although some OT stuff is fine I think.Comment -

#751: Bring back the nomination post button.
2: offer reload bonus using points, not just new book sign up's
3: revamp SBR odds to update the scores faster, they are always behind other scoreboards
other than the above this site is GREAT and thanks for all the hard work you guys do!Comment -

#84My ONE complaint with SBR, which is relatively minor but annoying, is that you have to keep logging into different sections of the website. So I have to log into the forum, then the book etc. I'm not a person (nor should anyone for security) that saves passwords in my browser etc.
If once you logged in you could access all parts fluidly it would make the site interaction much more enjoyable. That is all, thanks SBR for the great site!

#85I think it is great, but not a big fan of posters that continue adding to existing posts that they started earlier. I've seen some posts that might be 5-20 pages long and all it is one guys picks for the last 2 months and you have to go to the last page to get current updates. Couldn't they just link to a spread sheet or previous post so you don't have to wade through all the riff-raff to see what you wanted to see. Otherwise great site.Comment -

#87I 99.9% like it the way it is now but for the sake of being nitpicky (and since you asked)
1. Something needs to be done with points loans. Too many threads are being derailed by posters hunting down other ones to payback loans as it is right now during the slow period. If I remember correctly, there was talk of setting up some sort of neutral body to monitor this. Maybe that could happen?
Probably not plausible, but sounds good in concept.Comment -

#88It would be pretty neat if SBR created some kind of automated point loan add-on. A special loan section where the loaner fills in loanee name, amount to send, amount due back, and date due. The loanee has to hit an approve button for it to finalize. And if the points are not paid back by the listed due date, the owed amount of points automatically get transferred over to the loanee as soon as the stiff gets them. No more Stiffs! and SBR can take some kind of rake off each loan. Everyone wins.
Probably not plausible, but sounds good in concept.
Not a bad idea, how about this idea of SBR offering point loans, daily points would be automaticly deducted from the person each day till the loan was paid off.Comment -

Important one. That' on out list too.
Right now if you go to the forum to SBRcontests or SBRodds you should be logged in. The sportsbook software we added runs on sessions so it creates an issue with everything else cookie-ing you in to your acct. We'll think of something soon. For now, your user name will show up in your sportsbook ID box... Half as much to type in.Comment -

#93This can be rectified easily. Have two PT's.
Have a Sports Players Talk: All generally speaking sports related topics are discussed there. Any non-sports related moves out.
Have a Water Cooler Players Talk: Any topic goes there except those deemed for Private Zone. You can't get it up and want advice? Start a thread there. You saw a nice phone and want some advice? Post there. Your boss is a jack ass? Post there to discuss. You get the idea.Comment -

#97This isn't directly related to the forum, but toward the SBR contest page. It would be great if you could choose to send certain contests to a recycle bin out of view on the "my leagues" section. For example, the mlb bracket betting contest is one that runs for a couple months, I got knocked out the first week but I still have it listed in my active contests where it will remain until the entire contest is completed. Others are weekly or monthly contests I have given up on because I no chance of winning and just want them out of the way. Lots of overcrowding. With all the fall/winter sports going on all at once, sometimes I will have 10+ SBR contests going on all at once. It would be nice to be able to remove all the active contests that are no longer relevant to me from view to make it easier to sort through the ones that are relevant to me.

#101My biggest turn-off is when everyone deems it necessary to start their own thread when one already has been started on the subject. There's no major league baseball game that needs half a dozen threads about it: one says the home team is the lock of the decade, one starts a thread saying the price on the underdog is too good to pass up, one starts a thread about the total, one on the run line, one about the pitching matchups, etc., etc.
I don't have the solution for this, but it would be a lot simpler if all the discussion on a single game could be done in one thread. Talk about whatever aspect of the game you wish, but there's no need for six different threads on one game.Comment -

#102Points / Loans problem could be easily solved ...
1) Make MexicanStallion the moderator of the Points Forum, he alone probably knows best about who is a stiff, who owes what, and who is blowing smoke causing problems which are not legit.
2) Grant him the power, post-investigation, to put a lien on future points earnings on those convicted of "stiffery" back to the lender.
3) Grant him the power, upon multiple infractions, to issue a points ban once said liens are fulfilled.
But, since you guys undoubtedly like the fact that those lending and being stiffed are losing out on their point balance and effectively getting zilch in return, while said points are pissed away in the casino or sportsbook, and thus lowering the overall amount in circulation, I can see how this may be in the forum members best interests but not SBR Forums' best interests.Comment -
