I hate seeing pointless posts, most only for getting the daily points. I think a users post rating should be instituted. When a poster is in 2 stars, he gets only half his points; a 1 or 0 stars gets no points. That way the forum would auto-prune the low quality posters.

#107Points / Loans problem could be easily solved ...
1) Make MexicanStallion the moderator of the Points Forum, he alone probably knows best about who is a stiff, who owes what, and who is blowing smoke causing problems which are not legit.
2) Grant him the power, post-investigation, to put a lien on future points earnings on those convicted of "stiffery" back to the lender.
3) Grant him the power, upon multiple infractions, to issue a points ban once said liens are fulfilled.
But, since you guys undoubtedly like the fact that those lending and being stiffed are losing out on their point balance and effectively getting zilch in return, while said points are pissed away in the casino or sportsbook, and thus lowering the overall amount in circulation, I can see how this may be in the forum members best interests but not SBR Forums' best interests.Comment -

#115Agreed poochie ... leaves a bad taste in my mouth as it were over the whole thing.
This place is obviously frequented by a higher percentage of degenerates than any random sports bar, but this stance gives them carte blanche to take a loan if they can get one, and respond back with nothing but the middle finger, with no fear of reprisal.Comment -

#116I have seen this on other forums and think it would be a good addition to the SBR forums...Down where the "forum jump" drop down menu is, it would also be nice to have a "show only posts by user" add on as well. The drop down menu would have all the usernames that have made a post in that thread, and if I click on "Bill Dozer" for example, it would only show the posts you have made in this thread. This is useful for finding what you are looking for much easier in threads with a lot of replies/pages.Comment -

i.e If I am looking for a post you made in this thread but cant find it, I can click on "show only posts by user" drop down menu -> select "pavyracer", and then it would only list the posts you made in this thread, making it easy to find the post I was looking for.Comment -

#121Other suggestions I composed over time:
- Either lower the cost of highly priced item in the SBR store, or an interest component added to SBR points. Every poster who saved points, including myself, was punished for essentially saving SBR money when store prices were appreciably raised to partially compensate for the Pro program.
- SBR escorts purchasable from the store. This is more legal than normal because points aren't actual money, yes? :-D
- Commas properly set in SBR point figures.
- On point-loaning, I suggest to not allow anyone under a certain post count to be able to receive points from regular members. Also, a tool that could siphon off points from players, including their Internet identity if they change accounts, would be work well I think; can this be done? If loan breakers blowing their points in gambling is the strongest incentive not to assist p2p loans, why not jack the price up of lowly-priced store items instead?
- Consider the concept of charging points for posting under certain peak periods, such as in Players Talk during football season.
- Consider breaking up Players Talk into multiple forums or into a more defined off-topic forum while directing other topics elsewhere.
- Several PRO levels where members can get more points through depositing large amounts into particular sportsbooks.
- More points for general quality posts, namely those that don't particularly relate to gambling. What I'm thinking here requires a little bit of philanthropy on SBR's part in that people who make the community a happier place get rewarded, and not just with a couple of points.

I appreciate all the ideas. Thank you for taking the time to write them up.
There is still a lot of discussion on loans and lenders. Those are non starters. SBR will not forbid loans or become involved in the loaning and collection. Our only policy on it is lenders can not use the SBR forums for their collection efforts. If a lender feels its not profitable to loan because he can not chase a deadbeat over the forums then he should become uninvolved in the lending of points.Comment -

#128Good to hear, you should give him his own subforum and regular tv show. Sbrtv is the best thing going on here, peter and jj just need to work in different departments though. Cant have two divas and stars clashing. SBRTV will be on more mainstream sites one day, very impressive at times. I would like to see jj and peter developing some regular shows.Comment -
