Mobile wagering will be available, I can't imagine FanDuel/Kings would miss out on that either.

Nothing by this weekend. The state opens it up Aug. 15th, but each casino might be different. Diamond Jo said it is "hopeful its sportsbook will be open by football season."

    https://www.kimt.com/content/news/Io...513396451.html

It's a small casino, but it does have a poker room. It usually only has a couple tables going. Mostly 1/2 NL. Sometimes a 2/5 NL on weekends. Pretty fishy. During the day it is usually nittty old-timers. Sometimes there are a couple truck drivers that stop by off the interstate. During the weekends it can get juicy. The food isn't the best, but they have a buffet and a steakhouse. Plus Burger King and Subway for quick eats. Nothing fancy. I haven't been there in awhile though, so things might have changed a bit.

Thank you. I had no idea. Some states are offering it and some aren't!

Let me clarify, FanDuel and Draft Kings both will for sure be legal from a Daily Fantasy perspective, this has been outlined and passed. Not positive if they'll be offering books for bettings and/or which casino might have them.

    Good info

Thus those two will probably be the best overall in Iowa unless a casino goes independent????

I'm hoping Meskawki goes independent. A couple other casinos are hooked up with Bally's and Caesar's, but I can't remember which ones. Penn Gaming too. I'm looking forward to see how it pans out.

The law also states that each licensee is allowed up to two "skins". I'm assuming that means they can operate two different mobile brands?

Pick a spot JJ. There are actually a few other casinos that aren't on this map. All but one has applied for a sportsbook license.

I thought that was the case. I was just too lazy to look it up. I just saw an article listing who applied to be partnered with who. Some are hard to figure out because it just states "Joe Blow Investments, Limited LLC"

We'll have to meet up Chuck.

Iowa's population is probably too small for it to bring in too much revenue, and it will be mostly small time $20 bettors. Their might be a few heavy hitters though, if they can get the $$ down. Iowans love to gamble, especially on sports.

A lot of the revenue will come from neighboring states since most of the casinos are located on the borders or interstates.

This especially. I'll be out to the western side of the state to fade Nebraska lines if they get inflated from the fans out there. Great info Hawkeye

The casinos themselves are all smoking. For those casinos that have them, the poker rooms are non-smoking. A few of the books (smaller ones) will be merged into the sports bars, so that might make a difference. No clue really.
