I'm probably done with poker for good. I need to find something that I can put money into, work hard, have fun, make the correct decisions, and be rewarded with something besides months of stress and misery. It's not even worth the couple thousand I make off of it a year anymore. If I do play, it'll be on SBR. Got a laptop and Ipad out of it...poker just isn't worth the bullshit any more. Good luck all.

I did this not long ago myself. Despite being a profitable player I completely gave up online poker, and have played a live game 2 times in the past year or so mainly just to see some old friends. My stress level dropped significantly.

I play SBR some days but it is different as Im just generally goofing around a bad session does not bother me for longer than oh, say, nothing. I enjoy the bs'ing, it only last an hour or two and dont have to worry much about anything.

Yeah...I actually had my first really good session in a while this week. Like an all the cards fell the right way session. Then I play in this shitty Bovada tournament, get limped called with an all in with AK against the limpers KT os and the flop comes raining tens. I lose it and then realize it's just not worth it anymore. Need to stay positive these days. If I spent half the time I spent on poker over the years on other stuff there's no telling where I'd be. I'd almost certainly have more money than I got from poker... and lower blood pressure.

It's a really amazing coincidence how 99% of the people who think all the sites are rigged are god-awful at poker and have no clue about sample size or variance, yet the people like myself who've actually played hundreds of thousands of hands online FTP/PS and have a ****ing database with stats on every hand we've played don't think it's rigged. I wonder who's more likely to be right??

Dude what are you talking about? It's clearly rigged. Like 3 people in this thread posted a hand where they got a bad beat. That's proof that all online poker is bs.

I've played thousands and thousands of hands on Full Tilt Poker, Pokerstars, etc...... I've never lost every time for 2 weeks flopping a set and in the lead after the flop on any of those sites. The fact of the matter is: I've started cashing out my points for gift cards, and now I can't win a big hand. I understand it; SBR sees I'm not gonna donk off my points in the casino or betting huge on sports; I've grinded up to a nice point total in the poker room and now I'm going to cash in for the max. That's bad business for the site, so they're cutting me off.

I was once like you guys, chastising everyone that complained about the beats. But go ahead and keep telling yourselves that sites like this aren't rigged over and over, repeat it like a mantra, because if the opposite happens to be true, then you've spent a ton of time analyzing hands and trying to improve for no reason. And that sounds like something you can't handle.

If it was rigged, someone credible would have come out by now and would have blown the whistle. There's differences between being blatantly rigged from superusers and collusion, and collusion certainly still goes on. These sites make so much money from rake, it's not worth a scandal to rig the lower level games. I'd be a little weary of some of sites with little credibility or sites where you can't use a database to accumulate hands to audit. Other than those, play on.

"variance" will be used as an excuse whenever someone comes up with any data.

If I should be winning 80% of the time but I'm only winning 78%..................VARIANCE.

Just Want to Argue I read an article once that states poker is 100% skill....Now if your good and make the right decisions you may hit bad luck/chance at any specific times during your play(even for months) but if you play the right way over your career you will be a winner and under that argument it would be 100% skill, of course if you are looking at any one or very few sessions then you could argue luck has a component, but still I(at least) see people who are better win more often then lose.

I'm pretty sure, in order to generate huge revenues that poker-sites have systems that detects people who deposit only very small amounts of $ 25-50$ making them win at little bit in the first 24hrs then lose a lot the next day so that they are tempted to re-buy.

Was trying out 888 poker yesterday with the free 2$ for cash games... got myself up to 6$ then went to sleep. And I give it another shot this afternoon. Now I can't prove anything but whenever I play live I always get a premium hand about 1/6 of hands give or take as it should be mathematically speaking... A Q K J are 4/13 cards in the deck so you should get one of these cards 4 times out of 13... about 1/3 of the time and two of those cards 1/6 of the time, of course no streak has the same result but it shouldn't be so far from 1/6... but playing for 3 hours and only getting dealt good cards 4 times and after playing about 80 hands I began to see a pattern... 4/80 being 1/20...

But this is what made me certain something was wrong, finally I got dealt AKs I make it four times the blinds pre-flop... flop comes 2 2 K I raise again 4x the blinds and I'm out of position, only one guy calls and I'm heads up. Re-raised it again on the turn knowing that this guy is a passive fish and probably would of folded any deuce pre-flop unless he had A2 but since I have one and I don't see him calling but raising the flop with A2 I remain confident. I bet the turn and the river which comes 9, 7 and we're both all-in now I knew I was probably going to regret this one but I said heck it's only for 4$ and he probably has KQ KJ or K 10 or if he has AK we'll split.

He shows pocket deuces giving him the quads

probably one of the most frustrating hands I've seen in a while.

Then a window pops up and says' out of chips ? click here to reload.

I think online poker is rigged at a certain extent... at what extent idk but it has to be in order to make profits from poorer players.

Anyways I prefer playing live and I will keep doing that until a poker site is without doubt proven to be legit.
