Most of the big European Leagues start up in August , but qualification for Europa and Champions League is under way. With the World Cup down to only 4 games remaining its time to roll into a whole new season of Football across the globe.

Astana have been involved in Champions League for the past few seasons , and seem to be getting closer to the " Big Time " each go around. They are a small market team from Kazakhstan that seems to give much bigger clubs like Slava Prague , Celtic , Sporting Lisbon and Legia fits. They continue to reinvest the proceeds of their past successes into building a better side for the next seasons Ch League challenges. Tomorrow they will open their campaign against a true life minnow from Montenegro. They should be able to jump on them early and often, and put this 2 leg affair out of reach before it really begins.

Another mismatch, pitting a very experienced side in Red Star vs a small market team from Latvia. Red Star retained the nucleus of last seasons team and took over where they left off last year.....winning. They are the much better side regardless of where they play and should ware down this minnow over 90 minutes. Transfer values of the two sides is $ 39 million to $ 4 million for Red Star.

First place LDU meet with 10th place Dep Cuenca at home where they are beasts , and have been for years. Their record at home this season is 8W - 2D - 0L ( 20GF - 7GA ). They are also one of the elite teams in the league , and receive plenty of revenue from the Copa Sudamerica games , to continue to build. They have an estimated transfer value of $15.5 million in comparison to Dep Cuenca's $ 7 million. Although Cuenca have had some success lately ( 3 - 1 -1 in their past 5 ), it was a bit of smoke and mirrors. The single road win was 1 - 0 at bottom feeder Tecnico , who also aided things with a red card. They have an over all road record of 1 - 1 - 8 ( 7GF vs 23GA ) this season. I originally had this game circled at 1.96 earlier and thought i must be missing some key info. Could find nothing , but the line has since dropped.....so i am in @ 1.90.

on ldu as well but this game isn't a slamdunk, last game of the 1st phase of the league and ldu already has 1st place wrapped up the road team has been in good form lately but struggles on the road the draw scares me
