Making a killing off of the Upro / Spxu roller coaster ride. Gonna switch from SPXU to UPRO when the SPY hits 371. I'm wrong and will get stopped out if the SPY goes below 370.50.

With all the GME mania going on, anyone noticing that the actual market is tanking? Looks like the early stages of a correction.

Trading at the end of this Friday is gonna be a doozy. While the market has fallen some, this market is still at risk for a real flash crash at some point here. Could get wild. Could get a Black _____ within the next week.

Well that didn't work, I'll try the same thing around 369.

You're buying SPY at certain levels? I wouldn't. Make sure you have stops in place. We'll likely see buyers come in at some point today, but like I said above, we're due for a flash crash triggering trading curbs. This is not a healthy market IMO.

Of course I have stops in, that's how I was wrong for the first buy at 371. 369 represents the start of the year and a break up candle. Closes below that on the SPY and we would see some damage like you said. I don't think it happens today. People will taking profit going into the weekend and month end. By profit I mean the short players, so I expect there will be a run heading into the close. Maybe not that long, but for a little while anyway. As I'm typing this, the market is moving my way. Its past 369.50 which means I'll move my stop up to 369.50 and lock in a stale mate at this point. There's more to the move so I wont let it go much below that before I call it a day and head into the weekend.

We already knew this. It is also why I spend most of my time trying to figure out where the big boys are moving the stock so I can tailgate them.

We did however a lot of people that aren't into buying stock were pretty oblivious to. A lot didn't know what a hedge fund is, which is understandable if your not involved in the game.

I hear you though mate any angle you need to take it.

I have taken a beating this week especially. Been paring my holdings for 3+ weeks now. Spent the day selling today.

How much lower are we heading?? Seems like momentum is down?

The pre-pandemic S&P high close was 3,386 on Feb. 19, 2020. I have this weird feeling that we'll be talking about how the S&P a year later is at almost exactly the same level a year in. So I think the S&P will close Friday Feb 19 right around that mark in the upper 3300's. That's about an ~ 8% drop from current levels over the next 3 weeks.

Not at all. They like a bank have to have enough money to cover if everyone took their profit out.

I've locked in gains, and in that weird dynamic where I still have some $$ at risk but kind of hoping for a drop and new entry point.

We should speak about the VIX and the best way to trade it. IMHO it's going higher.

It's not as unhealthy as you think but I agree there are some issues concerning the forward looking P/E ration of the broader S&P but we are in a new world.

A continued correction of ~7% from this point forward would be a healthy reset and would strengthen the foundation. I am all for it.

How much lower are we heading?? Seems like momentum is down?
The mo and trend will be lower in stock mrk. This week bond prices higher, stock mrk. lower,by alot the vix soaring. Option prices are through the roof ! IMO stocks will be down 2,000 + over the next week to 6 weeks. One can not really trade the vix here,so much volatility is already priced in.

Top buys I made this week

I pounded BNGO NNDM and BEKE on their dips this week. I am building EXTREMELY large positions here.

I made a very large one time purchase of IPOE->SOFI. Perfect set up for them with ppl about to be leaving Robinhood in droves, this company has a chance to be PayPal, SQ, Robinhood and Rocket all in one App. Don’t miss this one!!!!! I’ll say it again, DONT MISS THIS IPOE.

CCIV, I do not like to get involved with Spacs unless below $10.5 or an actual merger partner is announced. In this case however I think all signs are pointing to Lucid motors being the actual acquisition target. If I am wrong, then I can’t lose anymore than half my money, but, if I’m right, you are getting the closest thing to Tesla, since Tesla. Forget NIO, Xpeng, etc. you have the Chief engineer from Tesla vertically intergrating top line models similar to Tesla and same networking software plans to accomplish autonomous driving. If they announce merger this will make NKLA’s price explosion look like a paper airplane.

as for current market, I am very concerned hedge funds are going to take their toys and go home soon which cld lead to an insolvency crises. End of month put options are up, you saw the vix this week. Bonds are not up but not unexpected if everyone is trying to go liquid. So, I wld say if you see this current trend supposed retail running up stonks, we will see a strong rally next week, but if it doesn’t fizzle out, cld lead to insolvent event or at least a 10% correction. I had shares of AMC and calls on Nokia I owned before any of this started and I just sold them bc I don’t like playing casino games in the market, that’s what sports betting is for!

OK last week was fun. While I do have longer term things that I post here like my gold plays, speculative plays, and scanner stocks, most of the time I spend scalping stuff from gap moves at the opening of the market, and more over momentum plays on the Upro / Spxu daily rollercoaster ride. I would like to post them here, but it is difficult and not conducive to real time decisions. Or maybe I'm just too lazy to work the market, engineer slurry pumps, and post here in near real time.

Anyways lets see how my longer term stuff is doing.

                                                            AQB AquaBounty Technologies Inc.

With the overall market pulling back this week, this stock has made a downturn and even dipped below the stop price I had for it under $10. It's not even a reach $10 and off it goes. My stop loss on this one required the stock price to get below $10, then the next day if it is still below $10, then it gets sold.

Anyway, lets take a look at the chart.

As you can see from the daily chart, the last 5 days have not been nice to this stock. On Monday it spiked up to $13.32 only to steadily drop the rest of the week to eventually end the week at $9.97. The stochastics are going down and the 2 lines are pretty far apart. The MACD is also declining along with the trend-o-meter. Trading volume is pretty constant to gaining slowly.

Lets take a look at a longer term weekly chart.

The weekly chart shows a stochastics that is right at the top of the scale and starting to roll over, the MACD also at the top of the scale but still gaining, and a trend-o-meter that is still green but right at the top of the scale, with consistent volume. All of those indicators wouldn't scare me away from holding the stock, but a look at the price action this week shows a glaring break down candle. This and the overall market selling off with the probability of continued downward pressure will have me waiting to jump back in with this one.
In the upcoming weeks I'll be looking for the price to hold around the $9 level, or the lower yellow line I put on the chart, or if it does rise and get above the breakdown candle high, I would be a buyer at that level. This week I fully expect a little rebound in the market so this stock will more than likely be doing some trading inside the breakup candle. Or to explain the last thought a little bit, a trading inside a break up or break down candle, the price will not exceed the price of the high or low for said break up/down candle.

So here is the particulars for the trade just completed over the last 3 months.

                                                            AU AngloGold Ashanti LTD

This is a gold mining stock that I have owned pretty much forever. Sure I sell from time to time and buy it back, but for the most part, I always own a least a little bit of this stock.

Since it is the end of the month, lets take a longer look at the monthly chart.

OK as you can see this stock has been on a steady climb since midway through 2019. Since October of 2019 it climbed from $7.08 to a high of $38.50 in July of last year. Since then it has been coming back some, and seems to be holding right above the $23 level where there is substantial support after dipping below for a time. This level also happens to be right at about the 50% retracement level for a Fibonacci thing. Also the downward channel is breaking its grip a little bit with the stock maintaining the support price. Volume is consistent to slightly lower, the trend-o-meter is still red and almost as low as the scale goes. The stochastics have been flattening out and has pretty much gone level although still up around the 40% range while the MACD is still in decline. I do like the Doji candle put in last month and the higher candle from this month. This represents a possible trend change although it is early.

Looks like things are beginning look better for this stock although there is still work to be done. They report on 2/22 and I believe that will be a big mover as they have had a long time with higher gold prices to operate, and it would take a complete mismanagement of the company not to have a blow out report. Of course fundamentals don't mean shit anymore so we will see what happens to the price when they do have that blow out report.

As you can see I've been steadily buying this thing over the last few months as it has been bleeding me of capital.

Here we have the basket of gold mining stocks all grouped together and bundled up into 1 equity. I pretty much always own some of this as well just like with AU so I have an individual mining stock along with the basket of gold miners at all times.

As with the other gold miner I'll be taking a look at the longer term monthly chart.

OK this chart is showing something a little different than the AU chart. After running down early last year, the price spiked down in March ($16.18) where it put in a pretty good tail candle before running up to $45.78. Since then the price has been in decline constrained with a downward channel which it continues to be in. The retracement is now right at about the 38.2% level for a Fibonacci thing. The Stochastics are still running down although the 2 lines are coming back closer together slowly. The MACD is in decline but still above 0 on the difference scale. The trend-o-meter has just turned yellow and overall volume is lower than usual.

It looks to me like the price will continue to decline to around the 50% level on the Fibonacci retracement thing at least. I think it probably falls to the 61.8% level for a typical Fibonacci theory pullback. That would represent a garden variety test of a former break out area at around $28.00 and from there I would expect a reversal and movement back to the upside. I'm a buyer of more when it gets to around $31 and then backing up the Brinks wagon when it gets to $28.

Also as you can see I've been accumulating here and taking my bath steadily for a while now.

GLD SPDR Gold Trust Gold SHS ETF

Here is the gold ETF which is like having gold only not really so it is easier to get rid of and get more of if you'd like. Its not the real thing so last week I sold off some so that I can get the real thing in 5 oz chunks that will fit theoretically up my ass if need be. I've been "stacking" gold chunks, not up my ass but actually in a gun safe, since the last banking crisis in 2008, at the rate of 10 grand a year. Back then I could get 3 chunks a year, 1 for each of my degenerate no good kids, and now the same gold chunk cost me 3 times as much so I still get 10 grand a year, but over the years, that has grown to be an incentive to "knock off the 'ole man with a bullet to the head" for the kids and an "I'll feed him some sweet tea with antifreeze" for the 'ole lady. Like I always say to them, if they're gonna do it, don't be a loser and do it right. Don't leave me twitching and drooling on myself, because I will then muster up all I can for some retribution.

So anyway lets look at the long term monthly chart for this thing.

OK so gold has been moving steadily up since the beginning of the football season in 2018. It rose from $111.06 to a high of $194.45 back in August. Since August it is taking a rest and pulling back a little and trading more or less "inside" the candle from last July. The price came down to test the low of the break up candle from July back in November and held that price. Since then its been on a steady move higher until it hit a resistance level of about $183 before being rejected back to the support level of the former downtrend channel. Its true, if you don't read charts that much just look at the chart and you might be able to figure out that all that is for real. There's allot of stuff up there that gold has been doing over the last couple of months but it is all normal and bullish on the monthly chart until and unless the price starts closing monthly candles below the breakup channel from July. At that point it would signal a change in direction.

Here we have the silver version of GLD. If this green new deal is to take off, silver will definitely be playing a big part. Actually there are several metals that will be playing a huge part which if you see what the miners have to go through to get these metals, you wouldn't believe that this is an environmental play.

Anyway, lets look at that longer term monthly chart of this stuff.

Like all the other stackable metals, Silver ran up starting right after the Cervesa virus kicked in and topped out in July of last year. Then in September it put in a breakdown candle. The stock has been steadily rising since then and now is close to testing the highs of that breakdown candle. It still has a little work to get there, but we will be looking to see if the stock gets rejected at the high of that candle or if it can bust through. There is a third option where the price kind of hangs out at that level waiting to gather up enough energy to bust through one day. Stochastics have been running up near the top of the scale for a few months now while the MACD remains high as well. Volume is up this month after declining after the July highs and the long term Trend-O-Meter remains green and is rising for now.

Just hanging out waiting to buy more here. I'm a buyer if the price breaks out at around the $27.50 level. If the price runs up and gets rejected, I'm a buyer down at the bottom of the breakdown candle low which is around $21.50, and I'm also a buyer at the $16.50 level. As you can see, I'm looking to accumulate this equity this year and with only a couple of grand into it, buy the end of the year I expect to have around 5 to 10 grand.

This stock is more of a utility than a play on oil, although they are also effected with fluctuations in the oil price most of the time it trades inline with the utility sector.

I use this stock more as a saving account in the past because it returned a great 15% dividend and the price didn't move that much. Now they lowered the dividend to around 8%, and since making a large withdraw in late February of last year, the price has not returned to glory like all of the other stocks in the stock market. Actually the energy sector and utilities are probably one of the only sectors that is still down since the ** fu hit. I think that changes this year with the Biden cartel moving to crush fossil fuels. Ironically that will be the answer to low stock prices.

As you can see this one has been trapped between $17.50 and around $13 since last year. Not a big trading range, hence the steadiness is why it was my bank account for the last 3 years. Just like the slow moving price the Stochastics are even with both lines hanging out together right near the middle of the scale, with the MACD rising from a ow level at a slow pace. Volume is declining and the Trend-O-Meter has finally turned from red to yellow and rising near the top of the scale. This stock is like the sloth of stocks compared to others. The price action however shows a break up candle in September followed by some smaller candles that all remain near the upper half of the break up candle. Can we all say a bullish flag pattern here? Yeah sure I'll keep my $1500 in this one for a little while longer and wait for the price to get up and above the resistance level of $17.36. Still keeping my stop loss just below the break up candle from September.

Of course I'll keep collecting the 8% dividend until all of this price action happens. They are passing out the $0.30 dividend on Monday so of course the price will come down accordingly.

I fully expect a rally this week, but the over all market shall start moving lower for a correction. I'm not calling for a crash just yet, but that is on the table this year for sure.

My greatest concern for NIO is not the quality or even cult following they seem to have in China. I think battery swapping technology is simply not scalable. Just think about it. It makes no sense whatsoever to use a battery swap concept. It seems cool and maybe get more mileage but the cost and convenience of charging at home plus the additional cost and waste of batteries is just unsustainable on a large scale.

It’s a long ways out but I have listened to several conference calls and I think the CEO knows what he is doing so a very high risk infinite reward play here.
