#2Sure you can. It might not come out the same consistency but should taste about the same.Comment -

#3I've never made it before but the store bought ones have citric acid in place of lemon juice, and canola oil in place of olive oil. I can do better I'm sure.Comment -

#6Yeah, I don't know that I would sub the cannolla for the olive oil. Have a jar of roasted peppers in the fridge? Throw one or two red ones in there.Comment -

Put all the ingredients in the blender except paprika. Depending on how much you make you add a few tablespoons tahini sauce, olive oil and lemon juice with the cooked chick peas.Comment -

#13Tahini is an important flavor to make genuine humus but it can be left out. Think of what you are making as a chic pea paste if you leave out the sesame paste. This is also important to do if you are entertaining people with allergies.Comment -

#14I think my nearby market won't have tahini, but I know there is a shwarma place that sells it, it is snowy outside and I don't want to have to walk more than I have to.
HEY! Pavy, that sounds good.Comment
