Undaunted, Mr. Dorrinson said he had begun looking into additional countries, like Chad and North Korea, but he expressed astonishment at a world seemingly overrun by health care.

Actually I blamed the people of N.O. for not leaving way more then I blamed Bush. I happen to live in a hurricane area and there's a storm passing just north of me as I type this. If NOAA put out a warning that a 4 or 5 level hurricane was headed towards me I'd be hundreds of miles inland ASAP even if I had to walk.

Bush's appointee, Brown, could have responded better but by that time it was a mess, mainly because people thought they could just ride it out... they thought wrong.

And personally I've never thought of a Bush as racist. he tried repeatedly, against his own party to do something about immigration. I always assumed he did that because he had close ties with immigrants from his days in Texas. And I think his appointees overall are as racially mixed as any modern POTUS. If he hated black people why would he appoint Rice and Powell?

Obama gets all the credit and the federal reserve gets nothing? The Fed jumped up the economy by putting trillions of dollars of liquid cash into the economy. It restored order to the banks, and enabled businesses to HIRE people and lower unemployment by borrowing at 0%. Individuals also borrowed at low rates to buy crap. low rates increased demand and stimulated more production. Besides, the 2009 stimulus was signed into law by Bush in october 2008, not by obama. you credit Obama when Bush was the one that signed the law.

2) those private sector gains were established under the BUSH TAX CUTS. Obama extended bush tax cuts. there is 0 historical or academic evidence that raising taxes creates jobs. taxes cause markets to underproduce. you get lower return for same risk. Net Present Value of future cash flows from expanding decreases. Taxes do not create jobs. Period.

The growth from 2008-2012 was done under the extention of the bush tax cuts. The growth after 2001 stock market bubble crash was during bush tax cuts. Taxes kill jobs. Lowering taxes creates jobs. IT was the tax cuts, not the increases in taxes obama doing now.

Tax cuts for businesses and individuals, 0% interest rates, and trillions of dollars in liquidity to repair financial system and stimulate investment (by Fed) caused job hiring. It was Bush's stimulus, Bush's tax cuts, and the Fed's loose money policy.

And you realize the seven members of the board that make up the Fed are appointed by the President. They each serve a 14 year term. Due to the timing of Obama's two terms he will have appointed or reappointed every member of the board. Not sure you can credit the Fed for success without at least noting the president makes the Fed appointments.

And taxes can create or kill jobs. It's not a black and white thing where cutting taxes automatically creates jobs and raising them kill jobs. If done right tax cuts and incentives can bring companies to an area, several automakers were lured to states that offered tax breaks and in some cases free land to build their factories. On the other hand reduction in taxes and federal spending can kill jobs on a massive level. Look what happened to cities and towns around the military bases Clinton closed.

All tax cuts or reduction in federal spending is not good and not all tax increase and increased federal spending is a not bad, and **** and versa.

It's not really missing a number so much as there is a "1" between the "F" and the "U," but the number 1 on a phone is not associated with any letters. So basically it's 1-800-F1UC-KYO. Bottom line for me is it's silly complaint or way to mock the ACA or Obamacare, the number was likely a random number generated by the phone company and could,I would guess, be made into several other words given that each number on a phone has 3 letters assigned to it.

For me thee's a lot of things to dislike about the law. The silly fact it's main contact phone number can be made into a version of "F-you" isn't high on my lists of dislikes.
