Obama was on TV saying "the House must send a clean continuing resolution".

I got to wondering why they "must"? Why would a CR even need a vote if they "must"?

If something needs a vote, its negotiable. Doesn't mean one party has to give in. The Democrats negotiation tact could be, and is, to stand firm. For the Republicans to say they are not negotiating is also wrong.

Both seem to be wrong. If a bill NEEDS a vote, as the CR does, its open for negotiation. The House is not bound to any Constitutional rule that they "must" send a clean bill and the Republicans are also wrong that Democrats are not negotiating simply because their negotiation position is to stand firm.

I work in the manufacturing industry. With all the spins and outright lies, it is difficult to ferret out the truth. I feel that both parties are equally alike. They have a few differences that they pit the people against each other. These "issues" let them play pseudo robin hood. They rob for all equally and give to themselves.

Just another scare tactic to whip up a fervor while something that should be watched goes on in the background..

I agree both parties should pass a CR. If Obama care is flawed then fix it, maybe completely overhaul it. The time to kill it has passed. As a Republican I respect the majority's decision even if I disagree with the legislation. Let's move on to reforming welfare and lowering business taxes instead of wasting time.

Is that so hard for people to understand? All the Sudden that piece of shitt obama says a government shutdown means military won't be paid like he and the democrats really care about the military. These are the same democrats who say that the fort hood shooting was not battlefield injuries and deaths, it was work place violence. These are the same democrats that suppressed the over seas military vote. These are the same democrats that turn their heads on our wounded warriors. Now these same filthy democrats are willing to let the government shutdown because they insist on obama disastercare. Put off diseastercare for one year and problem solved. The filthy democrats won't negotiate anything and thats the obama power trip. How dare the republicans say no to me? obama is by far the worst that has ever stepped into the oval office.
