USC announced the firing of Lane Kiffin early Sunday morning, following the Trojans' 62-41 loss to Arizona State. The embattled Kiffin was 4-7 in his last 11 games, including 3-2 this year. Kiffin exits with a four-year record of 28-15.

A USC news release said athletic director Pat Haden informed Kiffin of his termination upon the team charter's arrival back in Los Angeles early Sunday morning.

According to a university release, Haden will hold a press conference at USC Sunday afternoon at a time and place to be announced.

I can't see why they would fire him with a winning record unless they knew he would lose out for the rest of the season. Ok, full disclosure, I want them to play Oregon state first before they fired Lame Kitten. I have the over of 8 on OSU Beavers, and the Pac 12 is loaded this year.
