Excellent start to the trip, in for $100 out for $604.
Some notable hands included pocket threes with two callers behind me, I flopped a set of Threes when the flop came 38k, with two hearts on the board and no real straight possibilities. I opened for $20, didn't scare anybody and when the turn came 10, I bet $40 & was heads up going into the river.
The river was a heart ( cant remember what it was but it didn't make a straight) and my opponent went all in.
I had just sat down and thought to myself, I don't want to find myself reloading 20 minutes into my first session. But then I thought "hell here to gamble" so I called .....flipped my cards and he rolled over Ace eight.
A few hands later I was dealt 10 2 off, out of position. There were three other callers with no preflop raise. Flop came 9 10 7, I threw $10 into the pot 2 folds and a call and an ace drops on the turn. The villain bet $40, (I think), and I called. The river brought a two (with no possible flush) and he bet another $40, I called and the villain tried to Slow Roll me so, I turned over my hand and he mucked. I decided to leave the table when I was dealt pocket aces in the small blind, with two collars ahead of me. I flopped a set of aces with two spades on the board. It was checked all the way around and I checked as well, and when the turn brought a 3 I threw out a $10 bet into an $13 pot everybody folded. I thought to myself, well they are pocket aces and they always say "win a little lose a lot" so, I drag down my tiny pot and decided to leave & racked $604.
Nothing really outstanding about the session, I just bet when I was good and manage to call down the players who I could tell were loose maniacs.
Good start to the trip.
I will try to get some good pictures of the WCC tournament at The Orleans. I will be checking the schedule soon and decide which session I will attend.
It's a really long day of traveling when you do Canada to Vegas, so I'm going back to bed for a little bit and I will check in when I wake up.Comment -
