I just don't see how Toronto will beat Calgary 3x in a row this year - although almost every game they've played the past couple years has been close -

Big Play Grey Cup - NOT because it's the Grey Cup actually - I Legitimately think the Stamps are winning the Cup and I'd have made them no less than 6 pt favorites in my power rankings. The 8 "true" Toronto fans in the crowd will NOT give the home team the advantage, as the other 48,000 probably won't even show until half time when the games hopefully over.

BB can you expand a little bit as to why you give the Stamps the edge in the Grey Cup? The Argos have a few solid weapons of their own and if they can force Glenn to air it out by stopping Cornish, I don't see why Toronto can't win this one this afternoon at home. Realistically the majority of the crowd will be favoring the Argos and the East as well.

So far my plan is going exactly to plan - Calgary down 14-3 and Toronto Driving - I may make the 5x back on the over - But for those that know my style - Totals, no matter how small I bet them have always been stronger than my sides.. Unfortunately - the fact that I really, REALLY loved the Stamps here as I figured Toronto's edge in the East was VASTLY overrated is going to cost me a fking fortune...Comment -

We're not taking a LOT of stock in 2 pre-season games, BUT... 6 points in the first, and ZERO in the second can't be a good sign for this offense. 76 points in total allowed as well while we're at it. Montreal also lost both their games, but at least there were 2 teams on the field, losing by 7, and by 4. That's what pre-season games are for.
The Al's offense got a little older remaining mostly the same, but adding Arland Bruce III as another target for the 41 year old QB Anthony Calvillo. Coaching will obviously be a concern as Montreal has the only true rookie coach in the CFL with Dan Hawkins, once a coach of Boise State, and Colorado in the NCAA, who moved into the ESPN studios, now ends up as one of the strangest hires in sometime in the CFL. Then again, so did Marc Trestman, former Al's coach who now coaches the Chicago Bears.
Winnipeg will live and die behind, yet again, their QB Buck Pierce. The decade removed New Mexico state grad, will again attempt to stay healthy, after 2 of his 3 seasons with the Blue Bombers were cut short due to injury and the Bombers. The year Buck Pierce was healthy (2011) they went 10-8, won the division, and made the Grey Cup. The 2 years he wasn't (2010, 2012), they went 4-14, and 6-12, and weren't even close to the post season. Last year they were outscored in the season by 155 points, or almost 9 points a game (8.6).
So what do we know? We know that the season opens up in Winnipeg's new 200 Million dollar stadium, and that Pierce is playing. He barely played the pre-season, going 0-5 and keeping him safe from a complete disaster. However this is they key to it all, at what point will Pierce start taking shots, and now at 31, continue to get back up from them?
How bad does the situation look, when the odds for such a huge home opener, one that will be a packed house, are also in favour of the road team by 4 points?
There isn't a lot of information other than speculation at this point, but this is one of those games that Montreal's offense just looks like they will be dancing all over the place, particularly if Winnipeg starts slow. Winnipeg coach Tim Burke chose to rest his starter to get his backups chase a spot in the pre-season, and so now other then a couple of series, this is Pierce's pre-season against real competition. If Montreal gets out ahead they will be hard to stop.
The total took a big drop dipping a point and a half in one shot. It looks fishy, because this has the 35-21 potential, particularly if Montreal starts off scoring. So I'll take a small shot at the over as well.
