Winnipeg @ Hamilton -9 O/U 51.5

Not liking this game a whole lot at any level, but a simple piss test would say 9 points seems a little high. i think that considering the line opened at 10.5 that may be the thinking for alot of the public. What right does Hamilton have to be double digit favorites in Week 1?

Win QB Buck Pierce has all the tools he needs, particularly in the resigning of RB Reid, and despite the long distance game of the Ti-Cats last year, the Bomber Defense should have enough for at worst, a backdoor cover...

If you want to look at last years Game one, same 2 teams, Winnipeg Blew out the Cats 49-29. We all saw what happened after that though. The year before they lost by 2 to Edmonton, and the year before that by a TD to Toronto... Not that any of those teams
resemble this one... But based on the recent history of this franchise, they are looking for a good start, and really, this could be Winnipeg's Grey Cup right now... I will lay low
on the total of 51.5 but I'm not a huge fan of generally going over in Ivor Wynne...

Guys I realized on this I didn't actually put a value on the total... But as ive been exploring this game a little more I'm really starting to like this under a lot more...

I really think this is an overhyped game for the ticats and I think it may play strongly to a possession type game... I was only going to be on it for a Half unit, and I maybe risking a lot early in game 2...but I'm going a total of 3 units on the under here...

Despite the quick-ish start we get the under...who saw Winnipeg winning this game I'm not sure but happy they figured it out just enough....5 turnovers is going to be unlikely next week in Edmonton... I'm already looking for a bounce back

Also in other news BB apparently there was a AUD$1million bet on a $1.09 favourite in the AFL which is --1113 in american odds, and the team lost LOL!

Certainly not crazy about going against you DG. Thing is it's so darn difficult to get a grip on the first few games of the season in terms of finding out where each team's defense and offense ranks. Not near as tough as the NFL though when you compare 8 vs 30 teams to rank. Bol with your pick in any case DG.

Might have to focus on totals this week, crazy how all of the lines are within 2 pts or less but I guess it makes sense this early in the season.

All the favourites are too short to be worth playing. Geelong over West Coast should be good but they lost thier first game of the year last week by 5 points plus they are on a 6 day break and have to travel to the other side of the country for this game. I still think they are too good for West Coast and at $1.80 its pretty good value.
