I think you give the books too much credit. The line is where it is because UCLA's badness is going to be overestimated in the public's mind due to the MTSU loss, and Pepperdine's scrappiness is going to be overestimated as well because they beat ASU. In reality, Pepperdine is still an awful team at the end of the day and UCLA can blow them out. But like I said, its a no-play for me, because there are enough scenarios where it could go either way and therefore the line is pretty sharp.

Anyone follow the system of playing lower ranked favs vs higher ranked dogs? I heard it is good. Then if lower ranked team wins the game you fade them next time.
