Guys...I know we discussed not taking any more Phoenix unders for awhile. However, I think we need to review that position. I think the under in the play tonight in the Mercury/Mysics game. First, my model has this around 169 -172. Plus, if you look at the teams that Phoenix has played the under to, it's mainly been the worst scoring teams in the league. In the four unders that have hit with the Phoenix this year, they have been against Tulsa twice, the Sky and the Dream. What does that tell you? It tells me that the Mercury get a big lead and then become disinterested in continued scoring (soft) against bad teams. However, because the bad teams still can't score, the game stays under. Finally, Mercury shot well over 54% last game and due to regress to a just above-average shooting night of around 47%. I am pretty sure I am rolling with the under tonight. I know it's tough to go against but I do agree with you on the Phoenix game. As for the Minn-Indy game is concerned we need Indy to make a run ensuring a foul-frenzy to get us over the total. Hopefully one of their long-range bombers can get hot.Comment -

The WNBA is by far the most frustrating sport. There is just no consistency whatsoever. How can Indiana only score 9 points in the fourth quarter to destroy an easy over winner?
I make this statement, mind you, after losing on the Giants/Padre under last night with the score being 1-0 going into the ninth inning. Game went to extras and then the Giants scored 5 runs in the 12th inning to force the game over. A terrible beat, but nothing when you compare it to betting on the WNBA.
I have officially made the decision to lower my unit size in WNBA. If you remember, when I started my new and final threads this week, I also noted that I was increasing my unit stakes. I almost doubled them. Since I did this, the WNBA just killed me. With this much unpredictability in this sport, I think it wise to lower my unit value back down in WNBA. I will keep rolling with the larger unit stake in MLB and in NCAAF, NFL and NBA. However, when it comes to the women, I just want to make it through a full season before I decide to go big on anymore of these games. $100 per game is more than enough for these crazy women.Comment -
Ha funny you say that I was all over that SF-SD under as well, luckily I saved any losses by also having parlays with the Rangers/Giants + 1.5(also small ml play). I have done OK this year, somewhat on my own and more so with the help of people on the forum but the last few days have definitely taught most of us that the WNBA lacks consistency to say the least. Indy was arguably the 2nd hottest team in the league and absolutely laid an egg on their home floor in the 2nd half tonight.Comment -

Washington/Phoenix under (179) 1x (Locked)
I have to roll with the under here. I just don't think Washington scores 80 tonight. Looking at it, even if Phoenix hits them up for 100, they still need to hit 80 for this game to go over. Throughout, the season, Washington has only hit 80 three times, one of those being OT. I don't think it happens tonight after Phoenix stops caring. Plus there are some decent trends. WNBA Recap 7/13/11 - 7/15/11

I will not recap all the bad breaks and tough losses because there were some bad calls over the last few days as well (the Mercury/Minny under is one). Nevertheless, we went 2-1 last night and just missed the 3-0 sweep by 2 measly points in the Minny/Indiana over play. I can just feel a hot run coming as we are well overdue for a huge winning streak.
WNBA 2011 Season

If I am not hitting my big plays at 60% clip, I am not going to be successful. So far this WNBA season, I have missed on 3 of my 4 biggest plays, which has resulted from me going to a high of +14x to a low of -0.80x in the last two weeks. Although we remain 3 plays over .500 on the season, our big plays have been disastrous and have cost us dearly. However, we have two full months of WNBA basketball remaining and I have historically always gotten hot at the end of seasons when my capping factors and model have enough data for more consistent wins on big plays. I fully expect to make a profit this year in WNBA, I am not at all down on myself at all and I am very confident that we go on a hot streak with the ladies really soon. We have been very mediocre over the last couple weeks and that goes against my successful nature. We will prove victorious in the long run with the ladies, just like we do in every other sport. Chicago/Atlanta under (163) 1x (Locked)
Not sure where this number came from but one of my locals just went to 163 so I jumped on that for the under. Most of the market is at 162.5 as I type, with Pinny juicing the under -107. I have this one capped at lease four points less. My model has an overall total of 158, a Home/Away total of 159, a total of 159 based on the last five games and a total of 158 based on the last ten games. Both team are coming off unders (2 straight in the case of Atlanta) and both teams are 2-5 o/u in their last 7 games. Chicago trends under big time whether it be in road games, on 2 days of rest as dogs or games held on Saturday. On the other side, Atlanta also trends under as a favorite and coming off ATS/SU losses. Chicago is 0-2 o/u at total set in this range while Atlanta is 4-6 o/u in the same range. Both teams are 1-2 o/u this year on 2 days rest with Chicago averaging 155 points and Atlanta averaging 164. Based on my projected lines and the strong trends favoring the under in this matchup, I'm rolling with the under for 1x. Good luck!Comment -
