My number for this game was 173. Right now, we could really use a little more from the Sparks.

I've written off baseball as not worth my time (I can't stay interested) so I'm sticking to WNBA for the moment and spending most of my gambling/handicapping time preparing for the college football season, which will be my first serious attempt after playing small for the last couple seasons. With the NBA (and maybe NFL) lockout looking highly likely it seemed like a good time to diversify my portfolio, and NCAAF is only 6 weeks away.

Also, I never got a chance to say congratulations on the new addition to the family. Fantastic news, and best wishes to you and your family.

Just a bad call on that over. After the first quarter the scoring just never picked. I think we are learning that b2b is more conducive to the under than over in WNBA...at least so far this year.

Don't worry about NFL, that one will be fine. Based on everything I have read, I should cash a 2x ticket from a prop bet I made a few weeks ago in which I put 2x on the NFL season to start on time for -120. I feel good about that one.

The NBA will probably miss at least 40 games next season if not more. That one worries me. The owners are looking for fundamental changes to how the league operates and want to turn the current CBA into one which mirrors the NHL agreement. As you know, the players are not going to accept that without a fight and here we are.

Not sure what you mean...line movement is just one factor that I use in my capping, but did not even mention line movement in relation to tonights play...can you clarify? Thanks and good luck.

I had to do a double take here, but it seems that both teams tonight have combined for 1 1H overs between the Sky(0) at home and the Storm(1) on the road. The books are probably banking on everyone knowing this and setting the line so low that people will blindly tail assuming it holds. I'm tempted to take the over here, but knowing my luck it will go under. I still think the game goes under regardless of what happens in the 1H.

To finish that thought the Storm have one road over all season and the Sky have 3.

Just seems too low to me. I have it at 141. Dunno what to do.

As they say, the total is set that low for a reason. The books are protecting against the under and inviting action on the over with this low total. For comparison sakes, just imagine an nba total between the hornets and bucks this past year set at 182 or lower. The books know these games have a better chance of the under hitting than the over so they try to tempt you to take the low numbered over. Don't get suckered...this game is under or no play. I think this one ends at 138...good luck.

I'm with you Seattle is pathetic at scoring the basketball and if this were in the 70's I would consider but it's the lowest set 1H total of the season for a reason. The fact that it's even gone lower should be even more telling because you don't typically get much movement on the half lines. I actually like the over in the next game more for the 1H.

They are either trying to trap everyone like I said or SEA is so pathetic that they won't even cover that number - it could squeek but I'm Seacrest out on this one. I'll just observe it stay on the game under. If it goes over for some reason I may play the 2H under. They have yet to score both halves over yet on the road this season. GL on your plays

A tough night as we lose the early 1x play by three points and we lose the later 2x play by 5 points. What can you do...Should have played the 1h under in that Seattle game. I got home from work and saw that we had a 62 point first half and they just exploded for points in the second half. How come that never happens when I have the over LOL. No worries...we have until September to turn a profit in this sport and we will make it happen. We just need to start winning our multiple unit plays...it's crazy how poor my record is in multiple unit plays so far this season. The best part of losing all these close ones is that a big hot streak is right around the corner. I just can't wait for it to commence...

I love both the 1h under and game under for the early Atlanta/Wash game. My numbers are 150 overall, 149 home/away, 149 last 5 and 149 for last 10. Therefore, I am getting around 4-5 points of value between my projections and the current number. Neither of my locals are open for WNBA action yet, but I will be taking the under for multiple units based on (1) my projections, (2) Atlanta's 1-4 o/u record on the road, (3) Atl being on b2b (which as we have seen leads to more unders than overs in WNBA) and (4) this crazy early game which should have the players' body clocks thrown off a bit. I laid off that 1H play and glad I did although I didn't see the Sky scoring their lowest 1H scoring output of the year on the road, but even so it was still close.
