I have the Heaters at -3.5 with a point buy from last night. I am not worried. Sacramento i playing their first home game after a long road trip. That never is a good thing. I think the Heaters beat them by 8 tonight despite the line movement. With the Lakers on tap in the next game, the Heaters will give the Kings their full attention. The Miami Sound Machine is 2 baskets better than the Kings on any day, homies.

the way that the line came out at -5.5 (snuggly under that key number of 6) and just sat there, in conjunction with their history in toronto and the fact that toronto plays much much better as home dogs this year than they have as favorites of 4+ says stay away to me (or play memphis, but they are risky on the road) but either way, good luck man

Let me help your buddy! I have no picks here myself but Miami -3.5. But that is not where my help comes in. Where my help comes in is this: tell your buddy to NOT try to get it back in one bet. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

With that amount in his account his next wager should be NO MORE than $5. Yep $5. Now I am sure that will not thrill him but MONEY management is the KEY to winning in the long run.

I guess the other thing he can do is start following this CK thread everyday and learn some methods on how to actually make money with gambling.

I have won a ton since new years eve both with my capping and this thread. I have pounded the heavy and pc plays, so I know just following this thread will get him well, but CK is the money management king, so I am seeking his advice.

the interesting thing is that they don't have write ups for every game....thats what caught my eye, so the plays i posted were just the games where espn semms to be favoring a side or total and then i fade them

adding detroit... billups led the melo-less nuggs to a decent SU/ATS win over the mediocre + wade heat in melo's first game away, however now they are forced to play a serious team with one of their former players. AI has to be heated about all this talk that trading him for billups was amazing for the nuggets and now is a perfect time for him to light it up and take this game over. I realize that billups could do something similar (only less scoring, maybe just a game winner or something) but they're going to give me 4 points of insurance just in case AI misses the potential game winner. Teams always cover in their first game without one of their stars, but after duping the public into believing that they can keep covering, they normally drop their next game ATS if not SU. Also, denver has not won against detroit since March 1, 2006 (that's two straight years of being dominated by detroit basketball), and by then, detroit had all but locked up home court for the first two rounds of the playoffs that year. Add to all that, the pistons are coming off a heartbreaker against the blazers and you know they'll be ready here. Only about 33% of the public is with me on detroit even with that line sitting firmly at -4.

DET +4.5/ML (small ML, buying hook if it doesn't go on it's own.)

Also, as high as that laker spread is, i am taking them for revenge against the pacers AND heat over the next 3 days (i'll be watching the heat game in person). The lakers blew the pacers out twice last year and while Indy did do a solid job in winning that last game, they were down by 16 in that game and had to rely on a complete collapse by the lake show, something they will not let happen twice. Big games get the lakers up and ready and they play better all around ball, defensively AS WELL AS offensively. They blew the pacers out by 16 on the road and 20 at home last year, and while the pacers are a bit better this year, the lakers went from great to elite and they will not fail to dominate this game. Also, the line movement has me thinking i'm right with about even money on both teams, the books added a hook to that -14 to put it at -14.5, hoping to encourage pacer money and discourage laker money. The pacers have had a day to cool off after an upset win in phoenix and are ready for a let down. Indy got their morrison cover last game, now it's time to fade. They are definitely susceptible to blowouts, having lost by 14+ 5 times this year, even two games ago in denver.

money's pretty much split between milwaukee and nj as far as i can tell, but the line just shifted from 6 to 7. i'm thinking nets +7 isn't too bad here? i'm not sure how to read this, though...

CK Okla Thunder pick is solid tonight. Artest is out tonight, also Barry who gives McGrady some relief is out tonight attending family matter. McGrady is back, but that is not a good thing, as his effort is poor, and certain members of the team are having issue with him. I see a let down after the Celtic win, which by the way McGrady didn't play in, but Artest did. So gimpy no effort McGrady on floor, let down situation, and CK on Ok City sounds like a solid play. I like it in theory, as I am with you on the sides of those games, but at the end of the day you're taking 3 road dogs and having them all give points. I could easily see one of those slipping up and screwing you. Maybe keep the points and parlay them? Either way, GL my man.

yea i havent played it cause i really dont like doing multiple team plays, i was just looking for someone to make a case for it so i can play it with confidence or someone to talk me out of wanting to play it

He's not out. But McGrady coming back is an advantage to us OKC backers. Artest will be focused all night on trying to stop Durant and shouldn't be that much of a factor offensively anyway.

ok, i'm sold on boston now, CK... dogs are 5-0 ATS last five in the regular season between these two teams. dropping the lakers from my main ticket... here are the plays:

ATL +6/ML
BOS +4/ML
OKC +8 (no ML here, bought it early and don't want to play ML for a crappy team, i'm just happy getting them to cover for me)
DET +4.5/ML

smaller plays:
ATL +6/under 192 (these teams have split the last 6 meetings... every time ATL hits, the under hits, when orlando wins, the over hits)
LAL -13.5 (too many points for a big play, but i still think they get it done)
CHAR +6 (off that blowout loss and with the 6ers about to come to earth gotta agree here)
SAC +4.5 (miami has lost last 2 in sacto and the one before that they only won by 2 in OT. I love sacto as under rated home dogs, and money is on the heat despite minimal movement)

outside of the lake show i'm calling today "dogday friday" let's get money amigos!

What is the gentlemen's name? Unlike the advice that most would give a person that starts off with a little bit of money, I encourage him to start off with $20.00 plays with a bankroll of $200.00. Sooner or later he will have to put his nuts on the table anyway, so he might as well start off with 10% plays right away. It's gonna take 5 plays to get to $300.00, so eventually a 2-way will have to enter the picture. Time waits for no man. So here's what i would ask that the gentleman do with his first wagers.

Dexter, that'sthe thing that is giving the role players on the Rockets fits. Artest is playing very other day as well as McGrady a la Shaq. And they seem to play better when Artest is in and McGrady is out, homes.
