I might fade Lakers ATS when Kobe returns. The team is playing as a cohesive unit but this ends when he comes back and starts taking every shot.

thats a terrible outlook, kobe is a legend and still one of the best players in the NBA.

which probably means overinflated lines and a team that struggles to form an identity when he returns.

if i may but in,,although some of the logic you guys expressed re kobe and the lakers was warranted he by no means was the problem tonight,,he looked to spread the basketball and was often only really shooting as a last resort, turnovers and poor defence in the paint was the real problem and if they had of gotten their defense on the inside sorted the game would have been theirs,,i felt like Scarce should have played much less and hill more, johnson and henry too. its foolish to say you were a genius in betting against lakers because kobe would consume all the shots and kill the ball movement we had some luck as kobe was a bit rusty on his passes and running their plays on in game situations that plus the fact they just did not maintain any kind of focus or momentum on defence for any stretch of the game

With Lakers there will always be inflated lines, and on top of that Kobe is coming back with the "proving everyone wrong" mentality. He's definitely going to have a disruptive effect on team chemistry. Can't see any players standing up to his bitch slapping. Today's game was too much of a circus to read to reach much into it. Great win by Raptors though, considering they had 3 players yanked out at the last minute.

I love watching Kobe play, not a hater at all. He's probably the last old school star not to be a NBA/media manufactured product. But reckon he should've retired, these next couple of years will diminish his legacy IMO.

Kobe had 8 turnovers. He was forcing plays. The Lakers were a mess when he was on the court.

This was as expected. Eventually the Lakers will be a better team with him back, but it wasn't going to happen immediately.
