when did that change? i got a PM from you last night reminding me about playing. i was originally going to do my plays for football cause i have been sucking at bases this month, i was going to play 3 FB games thrus, and 4 on Sat. , but i reread the rules and it said i had to play 7 plays in 5 days and a max of 2 a day, so thats why i played 2 games today.

Thanks patrick. Most people probably read this and thought I wanted a bye. Not so. They also think I posted this because she may have gone(and did) 2-0. Not so. I talked to a mod about this before the matches even started and stated my opinion that one of them should be replaced(replaced as in someone else take over). I also offered to let her keep her record against me but remove gms from the jillmark thread and offered to compromise by letting jillmark decide. However, it was swept under the rug so I really do not want to see anyone ever again disqualified because they break the rules are rules are subject to interpretation obviously. some of you may have thought I was whining but whining would have been asking for her to be removed and move me on which I did not do as that would have been cheap and easy.

just because they have the same plays doesn't mean their chances of advancing are equal, because their OPPONENTS are different.

Same household rule clearly eliminates the husband and wife team. They're decent people, but this is so obvious. Bad precedent to allow this. You may as well allow PU, PN and all the rest of Pavy's family that supposedly use the same computer. SBR shouldn't allow this.

Thanks HedgeHog. You should have seen the eyes of PN (my nephew) when I told him he couldn't compete in the 128 man tourney. Since we believe in the honor system of SBR and we play by the rules we didn't submit two entries for the obvious reasons.

This tourney will end in disaster if the rules are being changed to accomodate certain posters. It's too much money at risk to bend the rules for a husband/wife team but not allow an uncle/nephew team to compete on even grounds.

              Hey they picantel,

@ Least your opponent bothered to show up!
              Mine never did!

And now I'm about to be eliminated by a "dummie".

It shouldn't be allowed as it's clearly stated in the rules. However, it's hardly an advantage to use the same plays. In fact, it's definitely moronic and borderline imbecilic.

I think that dummy rule is ridiculous. If you're opponent doesn't show up, you should go through.

I'm more concerned with the rule change about picks per day. I would say the 2 per day is fair. I mean if one plays 3 days with 2 picks they would need to just make 1 pick in the final 2days. They had signed up to win book money and should be available for the contest on most days if not everyday. I can see someone going 6-1 in one day and sitting back the final 4 days with a thumb up the u know what. That rule should not have changed after the contest had started. That changes the entire contest.
I agree that the rule change was not good. Had I known this was to happen I would have only played one game and not two on the first day. So by change I was placed at a disadvantage while others benefitted. I think it was a necessary change because people didn't play not still why should they by rewarded for being tarty.

I absolutely agree. If you do not make your picks then you are out. WTF is going on with this contest. Since 2 rules have been thrown out the door definitely wood should advance.
