I have a beef and I do not care if I sound like a whiner or not.

The rules of this contest clear state one entry per household or computer. GM and his girl are clearly a household yet they get 2 entries. I am told ok but this is to keep one person from signing up multiple times which I can sorta see although it is still against the rules so I let it go.
Here is where my beef is. Sure they are 2 different people but they have the SAME DAMN PLAYS. Both of them took the cubs -1.5 and both took colorado. To me this means they get 2 shots at the cookie jar playing the same plays. Nobody else gets 2 entries. Nobody else has 2 chances at the money. They odds have doubled to get to the cash. If they each played different plays I could accept it but this is bullshit. With the hundreds of plays available they both coincidentally picked the same plays without consulting each other. IF the others players accept it then I will accept it but in my world and the work that I do I unfortunately have to follow the rules whether I like them or not.

That's how I feel about it as well. What do the rest of you guys think? Playing opposites would be a no-no. If the majority feels they'd rather both gm and his wife play different selections entirely, then we can make that happen.

The one entry rule was set up for a different purpose, in this case not only are both active posters, but they've also each made videos on SBR and participated in the community in their own ways. So in that light I really consider them as separate entities regardless of their personal relationship.

i don't see any thing wrong with them both having the same plays, like stated above, i don't see the edge. now if they just both happen to be finding 4 or 2 solid plays and then splitting them and 1 uses one set of plays and the other uses the other set, then maybe you could cry foul. also whoever they each are playing against might just happen to be on the plays they originally liked and the other player beat them to it, so they just went with what the other had.

If we do allow him to do it, what's to say someone else will do something similar on purpose to give them some advantage? Well forget that analogy because the rules about number of picks in a day has changed now. Two rule changes after one day of picks doesn't make me too comfortable about how this contest might end.

Personally I don’t see the problem. If your dog and cat can post 150 times on their own, maybe we should let them in. If they’re two different people, and each active on the forum aside from the contest, then they both deserve a shot. Whether they play the same plays or different ones is completely irrelevant. If I play the same plays as Mr. KLC, should only one of us be allowed to play? If I make different plays than Mr KLC. If they’re two different people, treat them that way.

Now, if we had people signing up friends and relatives solely for the contests, and they aren’t active members on SBR, that’s when we start getting problems IMO.

Since we're chiming in just for the hell of it, let me do the same, LOL. LET THEM PLAY!! Come on guys, sometimes you look beyond the rules to see what the intent is. In this case the one player per household rule is designed to keep things fair for all players, that rule is there to keep folks from cheating, not shortchange any real contributors to the site. We know this is more than one player, they both post and have met others on the forum! You can never make a rule for everything that comes up, that's why you have to look within the spirit of the rules at times. Look to see why the rule is there. They don't want one person with multiple entries, that is not the case here. SBR is a growing forum, we could use all the members we can find, let's not punish good people under the guise of following the rules.....allow common sense and reason to prevail.

I'm more concerned with the rule change about picks per day. I would say the 2 per day is fair. I mean if one plays 3 days with 2 picks they would need to just make 1 pick in the final 2days. They had signed up to win book money and should be available for the contest on most days if not everyday. I can see someone going 6-1 in one day and sitting back the final 4 days with a thumb up the u know what. That rule should not have changed after the contest had started. That changes the entire contest.

The max plays per day was lifted because around 30 guys were teetering around being eliminated today by way of being ineligible to get their required plays in. When drafting the terms, I left too narrow a margin for things like posters who are late to the party, have stuff to do over the weekend etc. This way, you still make the required 7 but go at your own pace and don't ever have to "force" a play.

Well I can understand 3 per day. That would mean you could pick only 3 of the 7 days if you had engagements later in the week. I don't like the possibility of 7 plays in one day and sitting back to see what happens.

But as long as we're straight now I guess one could go 2-5 and be screwed.
