I think the contestents who put up the big goose eggs should be required to post their plays next week so we can fade them. I mean seriously how do you go 0 for when you only have to pick 4 games out of 300 or so.

They went 0-4 just like others went 4-0. It's inevitable. If you bet enough you will lose 4 in a row. Everyone does.

Bored this afternoon...nothing better to do. So, I crunched the numbers. Keep in mind a lot of folks have one or more than one bet still pending. So these numbers are going to change, but prolly not too terribly much.

Total Positive Units = 1358.45

50,000 points / 1358.45 units = 36.80 points/unit

Multiply by 36.80 by the number of units finished to the plus. And double it if you are a pro and that will be the approximate number of points you'll get.

Thanks, man. I think I found my mistake. I ran the numbers twice (still doesn't mean they're right!). Take a look at my calcuations and let me know if these look right.

48 X 5 unit winners = 240 units
41 X 4 unit winners = 164 units
38 X 3 unit winners = 114 units
148 X 2.9 unit winners = 429.2 units
4 X 2.85 unit winners = 11.4 units
1 X 2.8 unit winner = 2.8 units
24 X 2.0 unit winners = 48 units
96 X 1.9 unit winners = 182.4 units
1 X 1.8 unit winner = 1,8 units
19 X 1.0 unit winners = 19 units
54 X 0.9 unit winners = 48.6 units
4 X 0.85 unit winners = 3.4 units
161 X 0.8 unit winners = 128.8 units
3 X 0.75 unit winners = 2.25 units
6 X 0.7 unit winners = 4.2 units
3 X 0.6 unit winners = 1.8 units

when you add up all the units it comes to 1358.45.

50,000 points / 1358.45 = 36.80 points/unit

For a five unit pro, I think that's 5 units X 36.80 per unit X 2 for being a pro = 368 points

In theory I agree with you, as a practical matter, I'm not sure it will make a LOT of difference. I'm just sitting here watching the US Open, so I decided to see how much difference it would really make...

By my very rough estimate, there are a little over 200 units still undecided (it's a little over 200 but I chose 200 to make the math easier). Now, some of those people can move up or move down depending on their how their wagers do. There is a significant number of people who could fall out of the money all together if their bets lose. And interestingly enough, there are a half dozen or so who have all four wagers pending.

But for the sake of argument lets say all 200 units win or all 200 units lose

Units now = 1358.45 or 36.80 points/unit

If all 200 units win, units now = 1558.45 units or 32.01 points/unit

If all 200 units lose, units now = 1158.45 or 43.16 points/unit

For five unit pro winner:

Now, 5 X 36.80 X 2 = 368 points

If all 200 units outstanding win, 5 X 32.01 X 2 = 320.10 points

If all 200 units outstanding lose, 5 X 43.16 X 2 = 431.60 points

So, it's probably 50-60 points one way or the other for a five unit winner who is a pro...

Your SBR Sportsbook freeplay was credited yesterday.
