i miss the beat the prick contest format. much easier to cash in that type of contest. in the moneyball shootout type format i have not even come close. then again i suck at handicapping basketball.

Too many people at SBR. Few years ago it was fairly easy to be in the money, but now it's become a crap shoot. I know those old days won't come back, but this new setup is nothing more than exploiting the forum membership.

If 400 people sign up Legends has its 20K back. SBR ends up with a chunk of the lifetime losses of the new accounts. That leaves the contestants scrambling for a few bucks. A far cry from the truly free contests SBR used to have. And a little too slick for me. Pass.

To the almost inevitable reply that it's a free contest, so there should be no criticism or complaint. It's not a free contest. It's a pool. But this pool is set up in such a way that SBR and the book reap the benefits. And you really don't need to thank SBR for setting up a pool. The continuing metamorphosis of SBR is almost bizar for those who were here early.

Great Contest, BUT....

why don't some of these books work / donate together (for just ONCE) to substancially increase the prizeboard (for just ONE contest) and get all the members of SBR on board?!?

Sure would be nice & something to look forward to. . . .most people can't / don't want to join all of the various contests because they don't want 18 accounts at different books

Why do you guys always put a max on the number of plays that we can make? If you're going to use a cap, why is it always only a few plays a day? Why can't it be 8-10 plays/day or no cap at all? I was really interested in this contest when it said that there were only minimums, but there actually is a max. WHY?!?!? There are 15 games a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah I like the moneyball and BTP format, but monthly makes it not worth it for me. Still appreciate the contest though Lou, wish there was something weekly, then I would consider depositing.

Yes, it is accurate. Legends tells us that they were planning to go with a progressive dimeline, but that this won't happen until next year.
